  1. I keep seeing Detroit fans complain about the trade for Gibson online…I don’t know why they just got a goalie that’ll actually help them, a goalie tandem of Talbot and Gibson isn’t elite but it’ll at least help them push towards the playoffs…now time to get rid of those bad contracts and get a defenseman like Ekblad or even Miller from the Rangers, they’re definitely upgrades over Chiarot and Holl lol

  2. Considering Verbeek didn’t retain any money on Gibby I think that was a solid enough return. Ducks clear even more cap so that they’re not allocating close to 12 mil to two goalies (which would’ve been the case if Dostal got extended while Gibby was still here). Wings get a much needed legit starting caliber netminder who still shows flashes of the top 5 goalie he was for a 3-4 year stretch.

  3. I love that Spence trade for the Sens so much especially when the context of that 3rd round pick was used in a trade down where the Sens still got their guy. I think Spence is perfect for Spence he could fill into the top 4 if Jensen if he's not ready to start the season and even when everyone is healthy Spence seems like a flexible dman that 1 night could play on the top pair with Sanderson and the next night play on the 3rd pair with Kleven and the Sens haven't really had someone like that in a while.

  4. John Gibson was a steal AND he is only 31 of age.. I think your gonna see Gib's best years so long he stays injury free. D core a tad old but maybe something Steve can fix.

  5. my cousin went to highschool with connor clifton and i was able to go tk a bruins game back in the day and meet some of the bruins

  6. i dislike the anahiem trade, he asked the oilers for high value, and does that for the red wings, understandable bc division rival but man. tough

  7. I don`t like this trade for DET. Gibson was the backup, he only played 29 games, hence his stats improved.
His cap hit of 6,4m made him untradable, and this still applies imo. That DET paid to solve ANAs goalie problem, can`t believe it.
The last year Gibson was a starter, his SV% was below .9 and he was not good.
How many goalies does Yzerman want to go through till he has someone or finally realizes he needs to give Cossa a chance?

  8. Im a big Spence guy I think he could be a legit second pairing dman solid defensively while putting up 30pts

  9. I'm happy for John Gibson what terrible luck he had to play behind an awful Ducks team for most of his prime

  10. Petr ‘suitcase’ Mrzak-he is making the rounds these past few seasons. He is good enough to play, just not good enough to stay.

  11. Insane to me how low of a return ANA got. For how long they drew out the trade you’d think there must be a better offer out there

  12. Would you say yes to this trade? Minnesota Wild: Rossi, Spurgeon, (2) 1st round picks (2) 2nd round picks Pittsburgh Penguins: Sid the Kid
Crosby gets to reunite with Billy G while the penguins get a young center and good leader in Spurgeon, MN gets a true #1 Center and legend to show this franchise how to finally win the Cup

  13. A certain specific team, forced another specific team to move up to, at the very least 37 overall (they got 34th), even to the point of statistically forcing them to throw lose a 2nd round pick for nothing in most drafts, but them were willing to do it with zero hesitation AND it's because of the Flyers/Danny specifically lol!

Philly and MTL, please keep the gate closed to any of the other 30 teams out there, wtv it takes lol, because they will catch on at some point, and the more people doing stuff in any "field" when Russia is concern, the more exponentially complex/unsustainable that specific "niche" will become…
If pick 34 turns out to be what Bobrov said about the guy, the jig will already be up, so we're got 1-3 left. Gotta make sure to build as much bridges as possible until then!

So yeah, OhN, would you be interested to do a little short on the pick trade that FORCED MTL to move up to pick 34th and why it's significant, plus maybe why he would been gone, FOR SURE, at 38th by the Flyers were he available still.
Alex (the 34th pick) does have something that both MTL and Philly share… Call it a "scouting advantage" that these 2 teams have regarding players in/from a certain place in the world, let's say 😛

Hell, it's already happening with the MONSTER season Michkov had (keep coaches in mind), and that little yaste of what Demidov COULD do in the NHL, teams are already figuring things up so act fast to secure things lol!
