    It is fun to speculate on Demidov's potential and he looked good in the playoffs. The NHL season is a long and grinding one and Demidov is young. I hope to see a player who develops his game as the year goes along. Come playoff time we will get a real look at the player. I would point out LaFleur didn't set the NHL on fire his first couple of years, so let's be patient with Demidov.

    I've been pretty much on the same wavelength when it comes to Demidov. Sure, his 1st game looked superb. But I'm tempering my expectations because of the linemates.
    And YES, the KHL is notoriously bad when it comes to denfensive play. Tony DeAngelo had 0.94 PTS/G FFS. Not to mention everyone else in the top 9 had over 0.7pts/g.

    Slavkovsky had 10 points in his rookie season …. Demidov will beat that mark of 10 points in the first 15 games , if Demidov gets pp1 he will get 70 points . If he doesn’t get pp1 then I’m going to say 50 points

    Kaprizov is a top ten NHL scorer who drivers not only his line but his team. He's the player Auston Matthews wishes he was.
    It's a lot to lay that on Demidov.

    50 points is a completely acceptable result as long as there's upward trajectory. However, I'm not sure how the fanbase will react if he only gets 50 points. Too much pressure on this kid, chill out people.
