I don't speculate, but here's what I think will happen based on my intuition…

Kadri has been instrumental in bringing along the team's young forwards. I don't think Conroy has any intention of moving him right now. Andersson will be gone by the deadline. He's made it clear he has no intention of re-signing and Conroy doesn't let players go for nothing.
This team could both be in the McKenna sweepstakes or make the playoffs. It is going too be a fascinating year.
Kadri is not going anywhere…Ras is definitely going imo and there has been a ton of talk but I dont think Dal is trading Robo i just can not see it. I would LOVE if Cgy was able to make a move for M.McTavish from Anaheim but that will be tough. Thanks for all the hard work and keep the videos coming👍

… How can he make such a mess of the defense? Hanley + Weegar, Bahl + Andersson, Bean + Pachal. The hope is Andersson gets traded and Parekh takes his spot. Miromanov is absolutely in the press box, and available.
They were literally 1 goal away from the playoffs last year. Thanks mainly to Wolf. However, I think they can and will score more this year. Who knows? But I really do like what Conroy is doing, or mainly not doing. Yeah they have lots of cap space, but he's not spending it like a drunk sailor. Zary this year is all they have to sign, but Wolf next year will be very costly.
At least wolf has played 55+ games with most teams and has not had issues. He even wanted more than the 53 last season with Calgary. Very strong mentally which is huge for a goalie
I want Wolf to win every game he plays this season except against my team. I like him and hope he does well.
I think the Flames can pull a Montreal Canadiens and will make the playoffs via Wildcard

Naz is a player coach and mentor to the kids. He had no clue how much ho loves teaching the kids…. the East media have no clue about Naz. He is a lifelong Calgarian now because not only is he fulfilled? He is in line for coaching, management and he and his family have found the best Mosque in Canada. 100% Take Naz off every trade rumor.
Personally, I wouldn't mind if this is the year the Flames fully commit to the rebuild/retool.
Two years ago I would have said be need a rebuild. With Wolf developing even better than anyone could have hoped, I think a retool is the best option.
If we can get a decent return for Andersson, I'd like to see the backup play more, to ensure Wolf doesn't get burnt out, and we essentially resign ourself to missing the playoffs, and hope for a decent chance in the McKenna sweepstakes.
Even if we don't get McKenna, there are heaps of other good prospects, and I think this year is the right time to give some of our more promising prospects some ice time.
Imagine how good the Battle of Alberta would be if the Flames get McKenna.

The Flames are improving, they were close to giving us a Winnipeg Whiteout vs C of Red.
They need a good goal scorer, you can't hope to win without getting more pucks in the back of the net.

The Flames need McKenna, but the won't do what's necessary. I'm closer to winning a Cup by winning the lottery and buying a different team than the Flames are trying to play hockey without game breaking talent on this core.
Olympics are coming up. Does a Flame see the ice? Andersson (made the team, was scratched) and Weegar (late cut) were close at the Four Nations.

I mean, as much as the Kadri trade rumors circulate, I dont see a scenario where the Flames trade Kadri and get better. If they want a top 10, or even top 5 pick, selling Kadri makes sense. They don't have a center who can step in and play 1C minutes and guard other 1Cs in the league. HOWEVER I really like Calgary's depth. I think they're a top pair defenseman away from being a solid playoff team, if you can get Huberdeau and Kadri can be PPG+
Maybe just tank for Mckenna ! Then we have a new player with some real skill set and with zayne we could be getting some sick goals
Both Kadri and the team have publicly stated that they want him to stay on the team, provide offense and leadership especially for the younger scorers. Could they? Sure, but it seems really unlikely unless its an amazing deal. Its not like they need the salary space.
Andersson I can see being traded, I would love for him to stay and provide leadership and guidance to the younger D especially Parekh.
I have no idea what the hell is going on with the team and Zary, but I think they need to sign him
The kadri rumors started after a fake elliott friedman account started things.. but friedman has since come out and stated that it wasnt him and that it was a fake account. so i think that alone should put the rumors to bed

My arm chair GM says, trade away your high end assets now to get as much return as you can regardless of leadership roles. Young players and as many picks as you can. You arent good enough to contend in the playoffs. You aren't bad enough to get a lottery pick. You get the other teams picks and add to your picks. Retain cap money from bad contracts in exchange for more picks. Suck it up for 3 years and develop guys. However don't give up on those guys 3 years into their career especially if they are goalies and d men. Get all those horrible contracts off your books and start adding veterans of value then. Over pay if needed for high end talent just to get them in. Give yourself a 5 year window of actually contending.

With the current cap, Kadri is suddenly on a farily cheap deal. And a 2nd line center, which he would be on a team with ambitions, is hard to find in a trade. He would fetch a HAUL.
I just cant see a world in which the flames can make the playoffs over teams like the Kings, Canucks, Blues, Utah, Minnesota. I think all of those teams are better than the flames. A lot went right for the flames this year and everything went wrong for the canucks, wild had so many injuries, so did utah, and St louis got better. I cant see them being ahead of more than 1 of these teams if any.
Im not watching the calgary flames until they get rid of huberdeau and kadri and anything that reminds me of all the garbage trades they made in 21-24, also i don't care for craig conroy.. the team is dead to me.. i miss tyler toffoli, zadorov, i miss deryl sutter , and i dont even want to think about the rest, there isn't a single player on this team that i like… where as every single player was amazing in 20-21 hockey died to me when they traded away Matthew Tkachuk, i rarely watch games anymore so i guess i just dont care
