  1. Even IF Joshua does not get as many points as Kampf or Jankrok , which I think he will, he puts up 200 plus hits and plays with a lot of energy.
Reason to NOT keep Jarnkrok ,NEVER played a full season or even close.
Reason to NOT keep Kampf 2.4 M per year for a 10 point player is just a complete waste and BAD contract.
Name 1 team that wants either , I wil put money they are not traded for a pick or prospect.
They are cap dumps no team wants and we would have to pay to dump.

  2. They are throwing spaghetti at the wall and seeing what sticks. Robertson might be a sign just to trade like Liljegren last year. If they can, they will trade away Jarnkork, Kampf and maybe even Domi. I am a little disappointed that the Leafs are taking on guys with money into next year but I guess to be fair, all the teams will have cap space again next year and most if not all of the premium Free Agents next year will probably stay with their current teams

  3. How about acknowledging this……during the core 4 era the leafs had a better winning percentage when capt murse boy Matthews was out injured than when he was in the lineup and they were slightly above 500 (not a playoff team) when marner was not in the lineup……..if capt murse boy misses any significant time (he's done NOTHING to fix his multi year lingering issue) the leafs are done…..

  4. I think Patrick Alvin is almost as dumb as Kevin Adams but Kevin Adams actually has pieces and prospects to trade with

  5. Everyone is wrapped around the axle about MM’s 102 points. So we lose a few more regular season games. When push comes to Sam Bennet, MM disappears and dumps on his teammates.

  6. People gonna be surprised, Joshua has top 6 potential , bro has only been in the league couple years , for god sakes , holmberg was 2nd most of last year

  7. Move on from Marner! Let’s talk about the team going forward. Let’s get some players and try them.

  8. As a Canucks fan I HATE this move! We lose some ruggedness, mayhem around the net, and a well liked teammate. This is a bad move, imo.

  9. leafs have a bunch of back to back games..think i heard 15.keeping 3 good lines for bottom 6 is not a bad idea..i wouldnt mind a line of laughton at center roy on the right and joshua/domi/mcmann on left.If a center goes down injured on a team including the leafs the phone will start ringing

  10. DJ is a 6’3 beast, guy will surprise everyone and work his way up the lineup, Leafs getting bigger and meaner by the signing

  11. If Dak was solid when he was with St.Louis under Berube, then why would they let him walk as a free agent…?

  12. He was not a monster in the playoffs. He was good in the first game of each series then was invisible.

I feel like i'm taking crazy pills.. the Dakota Joshua we saw this year was not "cancer joshua".. that's just the way he is every year other than the half year that he put up points on a Van team that was on fire, and at the top of the league and on the back of Garland, Bluegar/Suter. This past season is exactly in line with every other season he has played. That's who he is at 30 and that isn't worth 3.25 for 4 years.

  13. Hopefully McMann and Cowan can take a step this season. I think Cowan could be a great call-up in the playoffs to replace someone if they want a chemistry boost.

  14. im sure if anyone wanted kampf and jarknrok and toronto also wants to move them im sure it would have been done already lol no one wants those bums

  15. As a Canuck fan I can tell you Joshua was awesome crashes the net hit everything but as for goal scoring the year he gotv18 goals his scoring % was crazy high love the player but the contract was to high for a third/ fourth liner

  16. Joshua will be on the third line with roy which has the potential to be a nasty checking line but I could also see him get a chance on the second line considering burube likes a forchecker on that line which is why he had holmberg there and joshua is much better than holmberg

  17. Joshua is a playoff player, and he scores in the playoffs.
He has the heart of a Knies.
Some players claim to have it, but as we all witnessed with Marner, when the going gets tough, the weak go to another team.
Treleving is getting beef and playoff heart.
    That's what he's doing.
    I like it.

  18. What a meaningful acquisition! Ahh not actually! So Leaf's replaced Marner with Micelli, Roy, Joshua? Wow impressive! Ahh not really! Give me a break where is the offensive replacement?

  19. Kamf is great defensively see him go to boards many times and retrieve pucks so hes not a bad pickup for any team bottomsix but leafs want scoring more

  20. Joshua's stats 2 seasons ago were clearly padded by Garlands offensive output. 18 goals is a stretch.

  21. As a Canucks fan, I still love the player that Joshua is. He'll most likely rebound and make the trade worth it for the Leafs. He never takes a shift off and if he plays with guys he has chemistry with, he can put up decent points. The Canucks had to part with him because as much as I like Chytil and think he can be a 2nd line centre, he's ridiculously injury prone at this point and the Canucks needed the cap space to try to go out and find a reliable #2. So this was a case of the Canucks needing cap space and the Leafs needing a gritty, middle 6 forward who could be good for 40-50 points if he stays healthy and plays with the right players. Given the make up of Toronto's team, if Joshua is back to 100%, he could be more valuable, particularly in the playoffs when it matters, than Marner. You need guys who actually show up and make an impact when the games matter the most, and Joshua is that player. He won't replace Mitch's regular season production, but he might be the guy who helps you get over the hump in the postseason.
