Marner was a Moms little boy,could not take the pressure,as showed in the last two years of playoffs, them goes bonkers on the team near the end of them playoffs. Glad to get rid of the little wiener .good riddens

I was pissed when Dubas left McCann exposed and protected Holl and Kerfoot. C'mon Tre, lets get Jared McCann! Make it happen! I've been really pleasantly surprised with Tre's tenure here so far as GM of the Leafs. Being able to get a roster player for Marner, whom was leaving for nothing anyways..signing JT to a wicked hometown discount..somehow trading Reevo to the sharks for a 24 year old Dman..i thought for sure they would have to attach a pick for anyone to take Reevos contract..quietly he's been one of the better GMs in the entire league IMO….
In my personal opinion, im not a huge fan of letting players wear whatever they want. I might be a little old school when it comes to this, but when your representing the city and the biggest PROFESSIONAL hockey league in the world, you should atleast act and dress professional. I'm not saying a 3 piece tuxedo or anything, but showing up to a game, on TV with cameras following you and millions of people watching, atleast look like you belong there. Ffs, even in different levels of minor hockey, back when i played, depending on the level you were at, kids wore a nice shirt and jeans or sometimes a tie 👔 ….these guys aren't playing recreational hockey for fun, they get payed millions..they dont need to be stumbling in the arena looking like they just crawled out of bed with sweatpants on lol 😆
The leafs could have had Jared McCann, Seth Jarvis, Konecny, Seguin, Hamilton and Rask all these players but gave them all away. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
McMann has size and does sometimes play physical. He does not produce unless he is in the top 6. He's lost on the 3rd line. JT and Willie need some to go to the corners and win some battles. Maccelli at 175 pounds isn't doing that for the long term imo.
I don’t understand the obsession everyone has with trading Domi. He plays with so much passion and just the attitude this team needs more of! He also is one of the best play makers on the roster now that Marners gone, not to mention his ability to play all over the line up. I get he’s not a perfect player but If the Leafs trade him they’ll end up looking to replace him afterwards.
With that said I believe the guy who’s expendable on this roster is Bobby McMann. Could McMann, Hildeby, and a future pick or two get it done for McCann??? I think it could. McManns a potential 20 goal scorer at a cap hit of $1.35 million dollars, that’s a valuable contract and McCann makes $5 million a season. Not to mention McCann played WAY more power play time and averaged over 3 minutes a game more the McMann. McMann could slow right in to the void left by McCann at a fraction of the cost for Seattle and put up the same amount of goals probably while also freeing up money to resign players like Kakko. Not to mention a left side of Schwartz, Marchment and McMann looks pretty good to me!
Hildeby is atleast another year away from being ready to be atleast an NHL back up full time which lines up perfect if Seattle looks to buy out Grubs next off season. Daccord and Hildeby would be could be seattles goaltending tandem of the future.
Seems to me like a no brainer trade for both teams.
Ya maybe Colorado will trade McKinnon for mckann.
