They've lost Ehlers but I believe the club has gained somewhat better balance in the four lines.
If Vlad can play like he did last year with Toews reaching around that 40pt mark, that can help offset some of the lost offense from Ehlers.
And don't forget the wild card in Nyqvist.
Lastly, this is an opportunity for Perfetti to improve upon last seasons play.
They may not do a repeat of last yrs regular season play but they should be playoff bound.
Ehlers will be missed for sure. Jets will be fine. Ehlers got hurt a lot (except his co tract year) and jets played just fine when he was out. They got solid depth 4lines rolling out hard heavy. Let’s go ✈️
Maybe I’m being a little knit picky, but you guys had Vilardi listed as a C opposed to RW. He’s stepped in and taken FO’s and is a C by trade but he’s a full on RW.
Also, Kupari was on your projected line up as the 4C but he signed in Europe for 2 years
Ehlers speed and zone entry will be missed big time, but he was the #5 F for TOI (I think), so even though he produces when he’s out there, he isn’t that difficult to replace. It’s gonna take another step by Perfetti, a rejuvenated JT and balanced scoring
I really like the content put out by daily face off but it’s hard to ignore the genocide flag behind Colby every single time he’s on
Ehlers is not worth the money Carolina gave him to the Jets. He is often injured and has a lot of bad habits in his game.
And the Jets will move on and remain a strong team without him, he didn’t lead the team to the President’s Cup.
PP 1 will be just fine.
Loved having Ehlers in Winnipeg for 10 years! Happy he has happily moved on with Carolina, he will do great there!
Scheif and Connor will play together, and anyone can slot the other wing there. Al looked great with them too.
I think perfetti and vilardi being wingers between Toews will give us a great second line capable of first line production, with nyquist getting that spot on the top line with the big boys.
I guess I’m super confident in Toews man, this is gonna be so incredible to see. Imagine if Toews brings his legendary status back, we’d be blessed
