Thanks for ranking and going top prospect and down the list, Every other channel seems to start at #10 and move up. Many viewers just skip ahead.
Nice digs gents!! 👍
All that matters to me is the Penguins don't get Gavin McKenna.
Looking good.
I could see the play in argument. Maybe it is because it would include us in the playoff mix. Maybe we could pull a NYR and then win the first overall pick. JK. Still bitter about that BS.
Like the studio look.
Seem to have more draft picks that are having very good to awesome draft plus one years. Nice to see our drafting looking good after the waste land that was the product of the Tyler Wright and Ken Holland brain trust.
The only commentary team in pro sports that comes close to Ken and Mick is the trio of Jon Anik, Daniel Cormier, and Joe Rogan from the UFC.

New studio looks amazing! Good job! I'm sure it'll get better!
The NHL plays way too many regular season games. 70 in my opinion is right. NFL is going in the wrong direction. $ leads the decision makers w/little concerning player health. In my opinion. Ya I played
Brad yawning 30 seconds in….. shocking!!!!
Studio looks nice but Evan’s ankles look nicer
29:40 Is a goalie ever what he was until he stops playing? Voo-doo
Ken and Mick have been the best in all of sports for a long time and it comes down to three things. 1) They're hockey fans first and Wings fans second. They talk about players from the other teams and enjoy watching both teams play. 2) Mick has so many great stories to tie into the broadcast. It's like story time with a hockey game. 3) They make it fun. You can watch the Wings lose and still enjoy the broadcast and feel good that you watched it.
These two set the standard and smart broadcasters are trying to replicate their formula all across sports. They're the originals and there's none better.
Why play 82 and then a play in? You had 82 of them to punch your ticket.
All these comments so against a play-in are really bizarre. From 1979 to 1998 there were a max of 26 teams, the majority of those years there were 21 teams. 16 made the playoffs!!!! The expansion teams in the 90s stood ZERO chance of winning anything, so it was still basically a 21 team league with built in door mats. A play-in eliminates teams like NYI, Utah and NYR from winning the lottery too. There’s nuance to what Brad is saying. And those saying MLB scrapped it are wrong, they expanded their playoffs. The Tigers just lost their position of a bye directly to the ALDS.
Are you telling me none of you wouldn’t have wanted at shot at Washington in 2024 to get in, Brad is 100% right, play a game to settle it.
Studio looking great.
1:02:30 I agree with Ryan. Half is fine.
1:04:00 Evan, you watch golf. I agree that basketball is boring, but you…watch…golf.
Lots of players to rank which makes it difficult but here's what I got….
ASP
Cossa
Danielson
Bear
Lombardi
Buchelnikov
Augustine
Kiiskinen
Buium
Mazur
Johansson
Guimond
MBN
Svrcek

Love the new studio!!!!!!!
Now that I've listened, I have to big time call Brad out here.
First off, the MLB doesn't have tiebreaker games anymore. They got rid of them entirely.
Second, all of Brad's arguments are point for point what the NBA used to justify its play-in tournament. After several years, it's obvious it hasn't delivered on any of this.
It didn't stop load managing. It didn't make teams fight for playoff seeding (if anything, it made teams even more complacent so long as they have a playoff spot).
The product is garbage. Nobody actually cares about the 10th and 9th seed fighting for a slim chance to get wasted in the first round.
Of course people will watch it. Doesn't make it a good thing. People will watch any hockey that's out there.
If anything, Brad's constant appealing to Hockey's randomness should be the silver bullet to any argument for a play-in format. A win or go home is absolutely unfair to any decent team that actually placed within the top half of the league. All it takes is one goalie to get hot and we're watching a bad hockey team get waxed in the first round.
Studio looks great!
Scotty sorta rested guys in 02 down the stretch. Damn near cost the series against Vancouver.
None of you had any of our defensemen prospects other the unproven ASP in the top ten. This only make the trades of Walman and Maatta last year even more curious. Dirty secret is we need at least one of those defensive prospect other than ASP to make the team this year or you're watching the fan favorite Holl back on the ice.
That’s a sweet table. Too bad it’s not taller and your three are sitting around it. Set is a bit too casual for me visually. But I REALLY like the podcast👍🏽
Buchelnikov not being 1 or 2 on any of these lists is a little surprising
Dylan larkin doesn't go an entire month without a goal and disappears after 4 nations detroit makes the playoffs this past season.
There could be a time where Team Canada and Team USA could both be represented by Wings' goalies during the same tournament…
Brad says hockey is a tough sport in the same sentence as saying we need to make the playoffs into a reward for simply participating in the regular season. Having so many teams in the playoffs when the NHL had fewer teams was ridiculous. Just because a bad system was in place before doesn't justify repeating it.
New studio looks sharp, great work!
Thank you for fitting pants for Evan into the renovation budget
Top 12 Teams Make Playoffs
Teams 13-20 Play-IN
Teams 21-32- Playoffs for Draft Pick Spot
Get rid of rigged Lottery.
Teams eliminated from play-in/playoffs will get that pick spot per as-is currently.
In my opinion you'd have to absolutely get top line talent if you're going to consider trading Cossa or Augustine that or keep em. Im not as high on Mazur or MBN unless you're using them as 3rd line bullies which could be justifiable because I'm much higher on the scoring talent of Lombardi, Buchelnikov, Kiiskinen, Danielson, and Bear. Also concerning Cossa's development he played way more games than Wallstead with way better stats and Jesper was considered the NHL ready goalie. I think he will be just fine.
84 games should decide the 16 teams that make the playoffs.
Play-ins are terrible like 4 nations was.💩💩
I view ASP as a carbon copy of Prime Tory Krug. I can see him being much better, but thats what i view him as.
I would like to go on record now as saying that Augustine will be the Red Wings goaltender of the future, and Cossa will be traded soon, hopefully to land Robertson.
I think we need to start a new drinking game: take a shot every time Brad yawns. Every show we're all gonna be loaded.
1) Augustine
2) ASP
3) Danielson
4) Bear
5) Buchelnikov
6) Cossa
7) MBN
8) Anton Johansson
Scouch always nails late round picks and he had sverchek ranked a spot ahead of bear at 12. Could end up being the steal of the draft
