People trashin me cause i say the kid bas potential to be more then a fighter. Unlike reaves. As a leafs fan id take the kid over reavo every day of the week. I like him. Hes gritty like a 70s or 80s guy. Fuck other then probert and domi the 90s didnt even have guys that gritty. Kids face is jacked up and hes still throwing hands .
I’m all down for the skills and sexy goals but one of my first ever hockey experiences as a person was when I was a kid no older then 7-8 years old and my dad took me to an ohl game (Ontario hockey league) and it was the wolves vs St. Michael's Majors (now the steelheads) and we had penalty box seats and boom next thing you know the gloves are dropped right in front of are glass I’m smashing on the glass yelling my little lungs out bloods going everywhere man it was a dozer buddys went to the box and the wolves player tossed his stick over and I walked away with a fight that happened right in front of me and a stick used in game (witch I used when I played hockey and I still have to this day) at that moment right there when that fight broke lose I knew even if I was a small guy I was playing d and I was gunna be the baddest man out there (played for 15 years got into so many fights and just big hits I gave out and reserved respectfully and I wouldn’t have changed a thing other then wish I protected the head a bit more so I could have played more but oh well) I watch games all the time forever always be a hawks fan till I die love the game when it’s physical but I also see why there trying to stray away from it bc yes everyone loves a big hit but when it’s a life threatening hit or could be it’s not fun anymore and it’s taking the fun out of it, this guy I love him Matt is nasty and I love it then u have truba the disgusting player he is almost like the rat from Boston I swear
Biased yes being a Ranger fan but you can’t argue the FACT this kid single handedly brought fighting back to the game, Jesus he dropped them in the first second of his NHL debut, I’m only afraid of now everyone getting bigger tougher guys and I don’t wanna see him get crushed. But hey that’s his job and he knows the risk, reminds me of a skinny Grimson, Give’m Hell Remps !
It takes aloooot to drop em as a young kid ..I played Jr hockey my skills weren't there my skating 100% but coach told me to go talk about the 20 yr old 16 year old sister on a faceoff while im 17 it takes alot of balls i didnt do it… rempe and all the guys that had the balls good on ya
For reals, he can be a legit talent besides his fighting. I'm so down for this fool to not just goon it up but also be able to PK or heavy 4th line forecheck….anything extra will guarantee him a spot in the league.
