SHOCKING:What the Maple Leafs Just Did After Losing Marner!

The Toronto Maple Leafs just made the biggest roster change of their offseason—trading longtime star Mitch Marner to the Vegas Golden Knights and bringing in four new faces instead of signing another elite forward. The front office didn’t just replace a player—they redefined their strategy.

Toronto fans are still processing the move. Instead of chasing another marquee name, the Leafs distributed Marner’s $10.9M cap hit across four players: Nicolas Roy, Matias Maccelli, Travis Boyd, and Benoit-Olivier Groulx. This controversial move is being called everything from “smart cap management” to “the biggest mistake in years.” The Leafs have doubled down on depth over star power, and it’s split the fanbase in two.

  1. Big mistake. The leafs will never amount to anything. You’re a joke. I think he’s one of the best players in the league like always. Toronto has too much money and not enough brains.

  2. I’m so sick of hearing about Mitch Marner you know fans are ridiculous. You complain when you guys are not winning you complain when he’s not score he’s done nothing and his nine years in Toronto except for a regular season player. He’s not a playoff player. I’m joining right now. The team will be different and it will be better Taxes in Canada. Well, let’s see what Gary Bowman does cause he’s Rob Canada since he’s been the NHL commissioner he cares nothing about Canada, but we’ll see what he does cause. I’m tired of Americans stealing our hockey players stealing our game when we get nothing in Canada, we know Batman and Bill Dale can do a lot better. I’m happy that Mitch Marner is gone. The cancer is out of the dressing room good riddance.
