Michael McLeod, Cal Foote, and three other former Team Canada members were recently acquitted of sexual assault charges from 2018. Many people have questions, and I will do my best to answer them. I explained the story and the reasoning behind Justice Maria Carroccia’s decision. The players have not been reinstated to play in the NHL again.

While the guys involved do hold some accountability for behaving in a debaucherous gangbang/ train. That's not illegal and I wouldn't say it's any less debaucherous than furries, foot fetishes or having a limp wrist while swing the wrong way. EM is the one who made up a false allegation and smeared these players and hockey not McLeod, to victim blame McLeod over the difficulty of the subject doesn't seem right.
The crown has 30 days to appeal which I doubt they will since EM was lying. The PA is correct that the league won't have grounds to keep them suspended but Gary will probably wait until the crowns 30 days are up.
Like I told you last year when we met Trey, people are innocent until proven guilty and this whole thing was bs! Never should have let them go. Canada has become a woke piece of crap country and they forced a dead issue to come back into focus. Let’s hope the organization gets their heads out of their asses and brings him back
Not posting politically I’m simply sick of what Canada has turned into and was disgusted by this ever became an issue after the last took money to close this out. Just disgusting behavior by a nation in general. Glad it’s over and hope the players are able to revive their careera
They were found not guilty. They should all have an opportunity to continue their career in the NHL despite what a vocal minority may believe. Glad the NHLPA has stepped up for these players. Would love to see Michael McLeod in a Devils uniform again soon.

Right and two folks involved in an actual SA are back coaching and GM. These kids are not guilty. Not guilty means innocent. They had there day in court. Your view on this is Un American
Proven in court? No. Could it violate morality clauses if any of these players still had active contracts? Probably, yes. The situation was questionable at best. And this isn't the only group situation that McLeod participated in that's also been called into question, (dating back to 2014. He just won't be named in articles since he was a minor).
I won't go as far as to say he shouldn't ever be allowed to play in the NHL again, but it shouldn't be with the Devils and definitely not next season.
I agree with you, Trey. And thanks for putting your opinion out there, responsibilities aside. I know you'll get a lot of flack from ppl focusing only how McLeod's life was ruined. Bc that's the one perspective they can put themselves in and imagine Instead of being involved in a group activity and feeling violated afterwards (or at any point, really).

Here's what pisses me off…there are REAL SA victims who are atracked by real monsters. These vicimizing whores tear down the seriousness of those REAL cases. We know women lie about these events and fabricate stories. These are the monsters on the other side. And whats so sad, is that all a woman has to do to is make a claim, and then thst guy's life is all but over. Regarardless of court decision. This #believeallwomen movement is a disgrace to humanity.
Remember the Duke Univ. lacrosse players case and how those players have been harmed. Michael McLeod and Carter Hart and all the players from the Hockey Canada 2018 scandal have had their lives and careers destroyed because of lies and because of a liar. Realistically I will be shocked if any NHL teams sign any of those players. It will be a media PR circus and nightmare. Very glad that the NHLPA is stepping up to fight for these players.
