Hutton should have gotten an instigator. I'm all for fighting to stand-up for a teammate but come on, this was clearly a result of the "hit" on Drysdale that didn't even happen.
I'll say it. Good on Hutton. Even if Drysdale doesn't lose an edge it's a fightworthy hit on a vulnerable rookie. He launched himself head first at him. The man can stand up for himself.
I really hope refs start getting knocked out for jumping in fights too early. Let the players police themselves again. Star players wouldn't be on the shelf as much if they had to answer to a Probert, Kocur, McSorely etc.
guys fighting for clean hits or accidents and then the linesman jumping in too quickly and compromising the safety of the players. As an old school guy I am shocked by the lack of basic hockey ethics here.

Oh my god refs let them go. A lot of the fights I've seen the refs get in there like 5 seconds after it starts

I thought it was a penalty if your jersey got pulled off in a fight. Used to be anyway.
