These guys are completely out to lunch if they don’t think Mctavish isn’t miles more valuable
EP is going to be a difference maker. It would be forever painful to let him go.
Sign Roslovic, have Chytil and him duke it out for 2 C and 3 C. If Chytil gets hurt, have Sasson fill in at 4 C, move Bluegar up to 3 C, assuming Roslovic won the 2 C out of training camp. Hope, pray, wish EP 40 is a 85 point guy, cuz McTavish or Roslovic don`t work if Petey is bad again.
Why are people so scared of trying Philip Chytil at 2C? He was acquired by this management on the bet that he can handle more minutes while giving the same production. (Which would make him a bonifide 2C)
I get he has the injury issues, but this isn’t a dire need game 1. He could easily find chemistry out of training camp and come out hot

The answer is 100 percent yes. I’m big fan of EP2 but if McTavish is indeed available you make it happen.
No. Dpetty most valuable asset is something no one talks about and its his decision making. When given the option of do I do one thing or the other to make a deffensive play, 9/10 its the correct one.
In contrast noah juulsen has some of the worst decision making and led to many MANY costly deffensive blunders

Why in the world would you trade a top 4 defensemen still on his rookie deal for a guy just coming off of his rookie deal. Having guys that can contribute for under 1 million a year is how you build a contender
We all know that acquiring a bonafide 2nd line center is going to be expensive. The reality is that it will cost DPetey, a 1st, plus. It will be painful but you can’t expect Anaheim to give him away.

D Petey is one of my favorite Canucks as he's big, fast, hits like a truck, is mean and is solid defensively at an NHL level as a rookie! He's like a mean version of Edler but I see him developing as a great shutdown guy if coached right.
