4.8 million for Stolarz
Not a CENT more than John T…
Less than 100 games.
Inconsistent play time with injuries.
$5 seems appropriate.
$6 seems excessive…
It should look like another concussion.
Contract with incentives. Plays X amount of games, vezna award, post season success,,,,,,,
I'd give Stolarz a shorter contract with higher AAV, something like 2 years 6 million AAV. If he can stay good & healthy, then he hits free agency in three years with a much higher salary cap and he'll get paid very well.
$4.1M x 8 lets GOOOOOOO
He's a fringe starter. Yes he had a .925 save% but that was as a backup for the Panthers, only 27 games. The most games he has ever played in a season was 34 last year. He was great but that was nowhere near a full season. He will be 32 years old, he's not a long term option
4 million and we have to take into consideration he gets injured quite often. I think that's fair.
Lankinen's contract and term is probably a pretty fair comparison. Stolarz probably a little better, but I think that contract would make sense for him.
this guy is a stud. real deal. hes better than woll. other teams will be willing to offer like 7-9mill
I would like to see Hildeby backing stolarz help him develop stolarz should work with him. Hildeby is our third string this year he did okay could do better this year but last season he was decent okay but I mean he's young eventually he could have a career as long as he develops.
Uhh idk why I’m lost but why do they keep bringing up Dostal?
Hopefully as cheap as possible, but serioulsy I hope in the 4 M range x3.
Maybe a bit less if possible.
Think we need a couple years to see where Hildeby is at then TOR can run Woll and Hildeby.
4 mill x 3 yrs is a good deal for Stolarz
Hey if swayman can get over 8 mil for 8 years after 0 seasons as a true starter, then stolarz has to be asking for 10😂
Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if he asks for 6.5 and gets talked down to 4-4.5
Since Cujo and Eddie rhe Eagle, the Leafs have never had great goaltending since the 50s and 60s
Stolarz should be at $4.7mill over 4 years
4M x 3 Years
I think 3×5 or 4×4-4.5 is the right range
Trust someone with your child just cause he plays for the Leafs? Thinking the CAS to pay you a visit
33 games per season ? = $3,333,333 x 3yrs
How much you want to pay for a 15 to 33 game goalie?
What is he, is he an elite goaltender that you have every confidence of starting every game and not worrying about, who is always in the top 5 in sv%, or is he a fringe 1b, easily replaceable with injury issues?
With the cap going up, I expect a UFA like Stolarz to get Adin Hill type money and term. 5 x 6.25M, less if the Leafs add a term. More if they subtract.
This is probably Stolarz’s last chance to get a decent pay cheque, and how he has bounced around, a chance of stability.
There is nothing favorable about the toronto maple leafs signing anyone near UFA status. Canadian taxes and the hard salary cap have us fucked until Bettman changes it.
Is it going to be s*** he's coming off a concussion Leafs are going to need a goaltender this year Joseph wall doesn't perform in the playoffs strollers is going to be injury prone like he's always been Leafs need a goalie also trade auston Matthews you f**** sucks
oh wow adam saying something dumb
All of the money in the world for Stolarz will NEVER get you a player of Marner's caliber back. Toronto went backwards this offseason.
I had no idea Steve actually played hockey! Haha. I just had to go and watch a video. He obviously is a late starter. But I give him props for actually skating, rather than just being like a lot of the guys who insist on making their opinions known but don’t actually play the sport.
Leaf fans don’t shut up about how amazing their players are until it’s time to pay them
