  1. My video lagged right at the beginning when Trey had his eyes closed, and it looked like he was in a very peaceful meditation

  2. Dougie's slapshot was non-existent last year (not surprising coming off pec surgery), Luke is ready for 1st pair and PP1, Nemec/Casey could handle PP2 and yes while there is a half/full step back on the defense the idea of moving Dougie would be to get a top 6 forward back (not a cap dump like Palat) which could be a step or possibly two forward. Seems like -.5 +2 leaves you +1.5.

Way to show you don't follow the Devils calling the blueline undersized . Kovy is 6'5", Dillion is 6'4", Pesce is 6'3", Luke and Siegs are 6'2", Nemec is 6'1", but sure Casey is small at 5'10". The Devils were tied with Florida as the 11th tallest team (1.6cm shorter than Vegas who was in 1st), they were the 13th heaviest team (7lbs lighter than the Leafs in 1st) Florida was 3lbs lighter and the 25th lightest team.

Yes Nemec and Casey will still have growing pains, however Nemec needs and is ready for NHL minutes and requires experience to be able to improve. This will be his 3rd professional season and he was a 2nd overall pick, we should trust in his potential and give him a chance to prove himself.

Sure Kovy is starting the year on LTIR but I'd still feel perfectly comfortable starting the first month or so of the season with a Dcore looking like
    Hughes- Pesce
Siegs- Nemec (with Kovy bumping him down to the 3rd pair when back)
    Dillon- Casey
It has a great mix of offensive and defensive, vets with youths and while it might not be a top 5 defense it's no where near the bottom either.

  3. Dadonov is quicker than Toffolli was and you were singing Toff's praises 10 minutes before – don't discount Daddy until you see him. He is an easy Palat replacement : )

  4. Yes, Dougie needs to go. In fact, he needs to go so bad, is treat the situation like a cap dump just to get him off the books. Nemec and Casey have unbelievable potential, but like Devils fashion, they will be buried and not develop. DEVILS NEED TO PLAY THEM BOTH ASAP

Casey alone would cover the point total of Doug and you won't get any of the dumb defense plays and even dumber penalties because he's so slow and moves like a 20 foot troll

Also, if teams sniff you are in cap trouble, they will take advantage of that and you'll get screwed in a deal.

Get rid of him ASAP and let his contract be someone else's issue.
