Wheeler was bought out by Winnipeg he didn't just leave as a free agent
Mattias Ohlund career video, please
Thank you Shannon
Still waiting on Dustin Byfugliens career vid
I’m a Boston fan and really liked Wheeler when he was there. I was puzzled when he was traded because he clearly had emerging talent. I’m glad he prospered in Winnipeg and appreciate this career video.
Blake Wheeler almost ruined the jets … him and the "Chipper". Worst leader that ever played a sport. The guy is so full of himself and yet has accomplished squat. Looks good on him.
Saw him live in wpg get 2 goals and 3 assists for 5 points vs burns and the sharks
worth noting, i think, that he also represented America in 2014 at the Olympics, finishing 4th.
Too bad he didnt win a cup with boston
Is evander kane the only player left active who played on Atlanta?
Wish he stayed with the Bruins. Peverly was a pretty good player before falling off a cliff.
Sending hate as a former coyotes fan! Glad Blake didn’t win anything in his career ❤
Imagine being such an entitled brat you don’t sign with a team that wanted to develop you into playing in the best league in the world, while living in an amazing climate
Then spending the rest of his career in Winterpig 😂
Draft drama aside, he carved a solid path.
I think it'd be cool if you included their cap hit/career earnings too when you do a player review like this
Wheels will always be one of my favourites, not only a solid player but a great guy in the community as well
17-18 wheeler was a beast. watching that roster go deep was such a treat. he moved so good for how big he was and could just truck over guys. sucks when things fell off but kudos to bowness for seeing the toxic locker room and doing what needed to be done.
Wheeler was bought out by the Jets, but I think he asked them to. I also think the injuries he sustained caught up with him, and the Rangers season showed it. Then getting that gruesome injury ended his career.
He was a bit too intense with Laine, and he did say that he regretted it.
In my mind the Trashers moving to Winnipeg was just a few years ago, this video make me feel old and.
Mike Smith and Braden Holtby next.
I'm so confused…what are the stats that tell us a player is playing too much? And why is it so controversial? Was he playing through concussion? Was he playing while injured? Please enlighten me! 🙏
7:35 just realized captaincy sounds like Captain C
How can you mention Blake Wheelers name without mentioning "the goal"?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrOVhSQQN0U&ab_channel=RedFrogND
Hard disagree with the thrashers winning that trade. Peverley was an important part of a cup winning run while the thrashers won nothing and ceased to exist
I do remember his time in the Rangers, he was there as a bottom 6 forward, the terrible injury that looks like he was going to be done for the rest of the year, works his way back to the ECF, took a penalty that would probably be the turning point of that series (Not all his fault on that one, Mika misplay causing the breakaway in which old man Blake had to take a penalty in hope Panthers did not score on a breakaway) and now he is spot guest on NHL network with a couple former Rangers.
I went to Wheeler’s rival high school — The Blake School — and I still remember him scoring a goal against us in the regional finals that ended our season and sent his team, Breck, to the state championship. They went on to win it all. I’ll never forget the play: there was a scramble in front of the net, the puck popped loose, and Wheeler calmly stickhandled through traffic and scored. It wasn’t flashy, but you could see the patience — like the game moved slower for him.
Plenty of Minnesota kids get labeled “stars” early on, have solid college careers, and never sniff the NHL. Wheeler’s rise wasn’t inevitable or predictable — which only makes his long career that much more impressive.
Liked watching Wheels play. I thought he was a very Joe Thornton style player; big guy who could skate, and was an excellent passer.
Career videos are my favorite of your videos. Keep em coming!
