I can't help but feel like, whether you think Mailloux has learned from his allegations or not, his inclusion in the roster would've probably still been too awkward for the players hence why he was shipped off. The fact Montreal were able to get an actual asset for him is crazy actually
Bolduc is a very good tough kid who can score em. You guys will love him. hate losing him but we are pooping good wingers and need a high potential young rhd. Think 20-25 goals 40-50 points with a tough hitting personality. Winning type player.
Journalist Gagnon and his clique have been trashing Mailloux since day one while completely ignoring his accomplishments. Habs fans swallowed it all like fools. Nice trade by St-Louis. Mailloux is a Brent Burns 2.0 and he has better stats at the same age. He has the MacInnis Slapshot… The habs made a mistake. They did not learn from the playoffs. They are soft and they will be more soft. Reinbacher is their future and he is soft asf….
I think the thing Habs fans have a hard time understanding is that right now Reinbacher, Guhle, Hutson (and defiitely now Dobson) are all above Mailoux in both ceiling expectations and (in reinbacher's case) projection. So there is no where for Mailoux right now, and they don't have 5 years to sit him in the minors while their very good contracts run dry. On top of that, his floor is literally not being an NHL player. He has serious defensive lapses and anyone would know that if they watched the AHL playoffs or any game he's played in the NHL (and also at times in the AHL). Like not minor, serious lapses of judgement. Mailoux is not a 5050, he's more like a 30(great)-70(flop) risk, and the blues are taking 100% of the risk on this trade. In return they get a 22 year old able to almost drop a 20bomb in his second full season? Who has teeth? Who is a proven asset on a blues roster loaded with wingers still getting icetime? Yeah, it's a no brainer, and only people caught up on the inertia of waiting for him over the past ~4 years think the Habs lost this trade.
Thereās absolutely no way the Avalanche canāt afford to pay Necas 10m. Even 10.5. Rantanen wanted 14m and thatās why they dumped him. If they sign Necas for 10.5 and he gets close to the same amount of points, heās worth it. And with the cap going up, again, next season, it is not anywhere near hard to sign makar to whatever he wants. And hopefully makar is cool about it and takes the same as Mackinnon. I know he is worth more and can get more. Iām saying I hope he can.

Hughes now has dealt away most of his stockpiled young d .
A Marc Bergeron big mistake being off-loaded to St. Louis!
Habs are soon to be Playoff Contenders! Watch out Leafsš!
I hate that Bolduc was traded to Montreal. HATE IT.

Depth scoring ?
Bolduc will be on top 6 and if a Slaf were to get hurt he can slide in on top line to bring that physical element and not lose out on skill
This is a great trade for Montreal
Could be great for St Louis if they develop / pair Mailloux well at NHL level

Study the game bro's – Bolduc had among the most Goals per 60 in the league post-4 nations
I like the trade for both teams. St.Louis's D are getting old. Habs could have a top 6 forward with sandpaper in Zach.

Losing Bolduc feels like losing Barbashev. Hmm, what happened next season to the team Barbi went to?
