It Finally Happened… Is This The End For The Leafs?
It finally happened—after nine seasons of dizzying highs, playoff heartbreak, and endless contract chatter, Mitch Marner is a Vegas Golden Knight.
Toronto signed the 28-year-old to an eight-year, 96-million-dollar deal, then flipped the entire contract west in a blockbuster sign-and-trade that delivered right-shot centre Nicolas Roy, a 2026 first-round pick and future considerations.
Within minutes, Leafs-Nation was split between disbelief and relief, all asking the same thing: Is this the end of the high-flying Leafs we knew, or a chance to build something better?

love Marner. Dude looks like he's dancing with the puck
The guy scored 102 points last season. They traded him for a 31 points center. I can't see how the Leafs could pretend having bettered their rooster!
is this true these greedy hockey players make it impossible to have a great team
Going to feel it when Matthews annual injury hits.
