  1. Even NHL'ers most if they can play beer league as long as they can…

I'm part of a rather historic club in my local part of the big city which hosts a few beer leagues on their rink. we have former NHL'ers like Coffey, Shanahan and Cujo show up and take a few shifts on the ice- from time to time…

It's not every week but probably once a month you will see a few former NHL'ers and an ex superstar from time to time…

It's fun to watch, usually not a lot of people in the limited stand area- surprisingly enough- so i can watch from the glass and they leave from the rink door that goes through the front seat area to the dressing room and lockers, and i've picked up some autographs along their way- and even had a few novel small hockey chats with a few as they came and went…

Most NHL'ers i have found to be very open and friendly! Coffee was the most surprisingly nice and he gave me some tips on my skating too!

Note: i don't want to mislead people to think i play in those beer league games with those stars i'm not part of that!

But I did play up to bantam in my youth then stopped cause the bench wasn't getting any colder with me sitting on it all game…

But i still enjoy skating and play roller sometimes in the summer is about it! But to watch even NHL'ers some well into their 50's, but it's amazing how fast and good they still are after being retired so long…

The ones who stay in shape and keep it up to some extent can still make a fool out of the other team on the ice-.

Though all of these legends are too gentlemanly and Canadian to do so…
