This is it. This year the system has more talent than I have seen as a Habs fan. I've been a fan for over 30 years and we always had 3, maybe 4 high value prospects at one time, then they would ruin 2 or 3 of them and we'd get to keep 1 maybe 2 promising players a year. Never like this though, Never at so many positions and with so much production, think of the years that guys like Mesar and Roy would be top 5 prospects for the Canadiens. Those 2 guys, Sean Farrell, William Trudeau, Riley Kidney and more would be in their top 10 prospects and we would PRAY that a couple could turn into legit core pieces. Now? If we get one real good NHLer out of those guys it is a huge steal, found money, lucky day, etc. For everything else the organization has done to rebuild the club, it's the system shines for me. The drafting and development side feels like it's on lockdown at this moment and I couldn't be happier about the direction of the Canadiens. Now, if we can get 4 or 5 of these guys to pop, the sky is the limit. Lol go Habs go
only reinbacher, xhekaj , hage and fowler will probably play for the habs, the rest will be a good money trade for surround our core, example the trade that colorado came to get lehkonen (to be a complementary player to a mackinnon) vs draft pick and a young defender (barron) , we will start to see this kind of trade in the stage where the habs are pushing foward

I think Engstrom has a high ceiling – like 2nd pairing. Smart, skates, just needs to add a little more strength
Hey HJ did you by any chance forget that Dobes is technically still a prospect cause he didn't play enough games last year? Cause I feel like he definitely belongs on there.
Anyways here's my ranking
1. Demidov
2. Reinbacher
3. Hage
4. Fowler
5. Zharovsky (boom or bust)
6. Beck
7. Dobes
8. Kapanen
9. Mooney (I will be having a VERY close eye on him in the NCAA)
10. Roy (still think the skillset is there)
Mooney could very well be the 2C of the future but I'm not gonna buy into him being a stud until I see how he performs against men. Ya he could throw the body and put up points against 17/18 year olds but it'll be interesting if he can take it to people older than him.

You should react to nhl biggest hits. Hockey is a fast and agile sport but physicality is a huge part of it and youll see why, when your skating at high speeds the impact is much more violent.
Josh Roy has fallen. I might have him behind Sean Farrell also, given how Farrell did in the 2nd half last season. I feel like Farrell will probably be traded this offseason as I can't see him clearing waivers if he doesn't make the team, which is likely.
The Hockey db Weights are often outdated for the russian prospects nowadays by a year or two so when u see a 160LBS russian kid take it with a grain of salt

Engstrom at 10. 10 years ago he would have been first pairing already. Man, we have a whole lot of roosters in the henhouse. 9 dudes that are better than Engstrom, we are stacked. Leaf fans, this is how its done. GHG

Solid list, though I'd swap Mooney for Farrell or Roy. He is adorable though.
LJ Mooney, i thought Hockey Junkie was gonna put an LL Cool J joke in there… 🙁 But as for the list, i'd keep florian at 6 due to the top 5. Stacked for prospects who have a solid chance, and honestly, Demidov is gonna be on that 2nd Line. No way he can't. After having a glimpse of what he can do at the end of the seasons and the Ploffs and also this kid, has INSANE level of work ethic. Like every year i've been getting more and more hockey withdraws, but its Hockey Junkie that keep the checks balanced. GO Habs GO!
