AK/EL, it's pretty clear this club has to get off to a good start in October (moreso than any other team in the NHL)–when you have 2 home dates with Columbus and Utah (both teams that very well could be in the playoffs) then a road swing in Canada (better Montreal team) you have to come out with wins–and then November (which is decidedly lighter in terms of difficult opponents–Pittsburgh in Sweden, Detroit, Chicago)—agree with AK November in…if you aren't coming out with a better than average record in November than I think Barry's got a decision. I think we can come up with a middle of the road record—the body language and the way the season ended last year—we can't see what happened last year.
If this season doesnt go well say goodbye to that retention slot we just got back from Johansen. Cap going up is a good time to have to rebuild though, you might actually get something for/be able to trade your expensive guys since teams arent as worried about making the money work
