The New York Jets just handed Sauce Gardner the biggest contract ever given to a cornerback — a massive 4-year, $120.4 million deal. But what does that mean for the Houston Texans and Derek Stingley Jr.? In this video, we break down the numbers, compare Stingley’s 3-year, $90M deal, and explain why Nick Caserio looks like an absolute genius right now.
We also touch on what this means for the Nico Collins extension, why Caserio’s smarter deals are reshaping the NFL, and why Stingley might just be the better corner — on a better contract.

Nick is a genius
I also want to point out by taking care of the player early, yeah you may swing and miss sometimes, but you also get the players not to have animosity on the team and all their focus can be on playing better and giving their all. And for the players around them know, "hey if I put in the work to be the best I can be, they are gonna take care of me". All these things build a strong program.
Nick needs to give himself an extension 5 years
I don’t think you guys understand the structure of both deals. It’s essentially 6 year deals for both at roughly 26 Million aav over the 6 years for both players because they are including this year. Yesr 4 and the 5th year option. The numbers on sauce to stingley ofc sauce was gonna get more and it’s only 100k aav more come on clowns lol. Listening to you guys make zero sense the first 3 mins makes me laugh. 😂😂
sauce is one of the most grabby corners in the league, stingley actually just covers.
I dont mind paying all pros
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nick or Watson a few years ago. Glad we made the right choice.
