Fellas this video is not as long or as detailed as I would have liked it to be. My job has been nuts this last month; I was part of a two man department that dropped to just me last month. While this means i've been promoted, my workload has increased greatly. I am looking for candidates to fill my number two position and I remain committed to putting out quality videos. My next planned video is the best goalie in the NHL for the season, and I'd really like to take my time and make it a longer video breaking down all the little habits of one of the best in the NHL. Thanks for staying with me, and keep stopping pucks out there!
Man, I hate this. I'm an Avs fan and Georgie was solid for us and yeah his season last year was not great but that seems to have overshadowed his career. He was never a top 5 goalie but he clearly had skill to play in the NHL. All I will say is I appreciate Georgie and wish he had better luck in 2024/2025. I still hope he gets past whatever happened and can get back to his prior form
He wasn't traded 1 for 1… sharks wanted the 2nd round pick. Georgiev was just dead weight used to tank the season.
Hellebuyck is the gold standard compared to him yet Georgiev beat him in a series lol. Good vid though.
Loving this break down, very well done bud keep it up! As an Avs fan it was really sad to see him fall off from a pretty solid first season. Hopefully he can get some of that back and catch on somewhere but he's probably done.
Its truly impressive that the Avs finished with over 100pts when they started the year with the worst goaltending tandem statistically since the expansion Ottawa Senators. They were 30th in GA through 26 games and finished 11th. Georgiev and Annunen allowed 5+ goals eight times, Blackwood and Wedgewood allowed 5 goals against (never more than 5) four times in 56 games.
That Avs team was a wagon if they could have figured out how to beat Dallas in the playoffs.
Thank you. I am a fan or him. But couldn’t understand what happened. Thanks
In San Jose, we called him the “Tank commander” not because we play in the Tank
A bit of tinfoil hat theory from me, but Georgiev was trained in TPS Turku system that has trained a lot of NHL level goalies, including Miika Kiprusoff. Maybe he's learned to make those instinct saves like Kiprusoff did but lacks the hockey IQ to read the game on same level, and the game has changed a lot from the early 2000s days
He literally cannot be worse than Tristan Jarry
Ge-or-ge-ev
Freaking out breaking the stick is always a bad look and destroys the team’s confidence.
This is the first video of yours that i’ve wathced but i already know im subscribing and watching every one
So skinner is better
GREAT content man! Very well made brakedown
Keep it up 💯
Any team tanking this year should sign him.
I think he'd be a great fit on the Oilers
ill have you know it was mackenzie blackwood and a 2nd to take georgiev off the avs
He Might be the worst the NHL, but he’s still better than everyone in this comment section, including a vast majority of netminders around the world… because he’s in the NHL and they aren’t.
I can tell you're not an Avs fan by how you mispronounce his name. It's actually probounced Fourgiev.
very interesting! i was always wondering what exactly is going wrong, and now i know
Cool video, except Georgiev was not traded one for one for Blackwood like you said at 0:17. Sharks got F Nikolai Kovalenko, Georgiev, a 2025 5th and a 2026 2nd in exchange for Blackwood and F Givani Smith.
He's like playing goalie in the NHL games, it's so damn difficult to not over play saves and you're sliding all over the damn place.
I personally dont think these videos need music at all
Dude this was was so insightful, thank you, looking forward to more
