Let's be realistic. It's not going to work with Lapierre. We need someone better than him at both center and wing. Other prospects have already passed him on the depth chart. Our prospect pool is a little too deep. I would rather trade him for another center or wing. But it will probably take more than just him in the package.
I prefer to shoot for the moon with the Crosby or Malkin pipe dream.😂 Also couple names I've seen otb Chinakov and N. Robertson. though unproven they could be modest depth peices that could also compete for the 2nd/3rd line wing jobs up for grabs. I think these are players more in the range age wise of what we are looking for. Robertson could be a good sneaky add. He always seems to be the odd guy put in Toronto, could benefit from a change of scenery.
