  1. WE NEED Nazem Kadri ……… HE IS A PHENOMENAL HOCKEY PLAYER. AND HE'S GETTING BETTER WITH AGE 34 🎉🎉🎉🎉HE SINGLE HANDILY, CARRIED CALGARY ON HIS BACK LAST YEAR 🎉🎉 THE SALARY CAP IS GOING U $35 MILLION OVER THE NEXT 4 YEARS. $7 MILLION FOR A THIRD LINE CENTER IS A BARGAIN.

  2. Habs will trade Price’s contract after his $5 million bonus is paid in August. There will be a couple of teams willing to pay Price $2 million so they get $10.5 million in cap space to get to the floor. It’s an easy read.

  3. I think within the next 3-4 years, if they keep trending upwards, Montreal will have to eventually give away players just for cap reasons. Happens to every good successful team. Hopefully team culture by then will make all the boys take team friendly cap hits, we can dream.

  4. They would have to do some financial juggling to get Kadri. They are already $5 million over the cap. Could trade Laine and retain half, which would bring the overaage down quite a bit. Would then have to free up $8 million with another trade. Matheson?

  5. Hey Jesse, don’t think for all habs fans cause you’d be surprised how many hab fans would actually like this trade

  6. why would the habs want to have a contract that kadri has for the future, this team is soo loaded, the future is promising, I little taste of playoff hockey since the stanley cup final doesnt mean that the habs needs to start bringing crazy names/contracts, just to get there again, stick with the plan and process

  7. Kadri is a no brainer, a true C, good hands and gritty! Sounds exactly what Gorton described in his post mortem.

  8. 67 points last including 35 goals, 75 points the year before, a true second line centre even if it’s a for 2-3 years when Hage is ready. Kadri is a perfect player to help demidov excel and isn’t afraid of the rough stuff if players take runs a demidov.

  9. My problem with getting Kadri is, with him in our team we still wouldn't be poised to be a cup contender for 1-3 years, and if it takes 3 years thats a big contract to joggle with specially with Hutson and Demidov who will bite a big chunk of the raise of the leagues cap. Also means he's gonna be 37-38 by then. Add to that the fact that he won't be cheap (picks or a prospect, like Hague). I'd probly wait till the trade deadline for teams who decide it's not their years and try to get a center from a team that's gonna start a rebuild.

  10. price contract our first and 1 mil salary retained he could be ltir in 3 years or buyout add him w/out touching our team

  11. Don't need Kadri. Too old, too expensive, too small and too much of a non team player.

I would ride Dach as the 2C before this guy.

    Go get Mason McTavish

  12. depending on 2 things, I don’t hate it if you are getting Avs cup run Kadri for 2-3 years. First, the return to Calgary and second, do we really need to it this summer? Is Kadri a really good guy or is he the guy?
