    It’s not right that the Kings play Vegas two times on 5h3 end of a back to back , I get it against any team except the knights ducks and sharks , that’s some BS. , however…whatever …..

    kopitar made it pretty clear 2 years ago this was gonna be his last contract. the mayor knows his stuff. john has a lot of inside news

    I figured Kempe would get a minimum of $9M so if he wants $10M given the rising cap, that's totally fine, especially if he signs for 8 years. If the Mayor is reporting this now about Kopitar I'd expect it to be true. Given the Blake tried to lock down the 1C and 2C positions with Byfield and PLD, I'm sure he was told this last contract would be it as well. Obviously things can change but I'm preparing for this to be the end. Should Kopitar call it a career, it puts that much more of an emphasis to sign Kempe to know what the cap situation will be going into the offseason. Clarke will be a RFA and guys like Doughty, Foegele, and Danault will be going into their last year of their deal.

    It looks like two of the actors, Dan and Chris Powers run a successful hockey podcast that I've never heard of lol called Empty Netters. Moved to LA 11 years ago and they are screenwriters and actors.

    The other two actors seem to be guys from the production company that puts on the Empty Netter's show.

    Mayor “not expecting Kopitar to sign an extension” does not definitively mean it’s his final season. A wild and irresponsible leap in logic from the Mayor.

    Love Kopi ,our Hall of Famer, but if he's on the roster beyond next season,expect long ,losing seasons in our future..
