I would love to see Mactavish with the Habs but as you said, Anaheim will match any offer, they have a ton of cap space after all, and move him next year if need be and get a huge return. My impression is that the Habs will start the season with this roster and then see who is made available as teams start to struggle. Myself, I have been saying that Pavel Zacha would be a perfect fit for months. He is smart two-way player, has size, is a left-handed shot who can play center and win faceoffs. Boston won’t admit it but they are rebuilding. I think there is a small possibility there that should at least be looked into.

Why are we so fixated on all Right-handed Centres…. “ we need a Left-handed Centre…..Edmonton oilers have all Left-handed centres ( McDavid,Draisaitl,Nugent-Hopkins,Frederic,Henrique)but they don’t fixate on the need for a Right-handed centre
