Habs Fans REACT to Tough Schedule and Veleno Signing

The Montreal Canadiens have officially signed Canadian centre Joe Veleno, and it’s making waves amongst Habs’ fans! Kosta breaks down what the Veleno signing means for the Habs’ 2025-2026 roster, where he fits in the lineup, and how his addition impacts the Canadiens’ forward depth and special teams. Is this a smart move by Kent Hughes, or just another depth gamble?

We also take a deep dive into the Montreal Canadiens’ 2025-2026 NHL schedule, which was just released—and it’s a tough one, with 17 back-to-back games. But is it as bad as some people think?

Kosta will also visit a new rule in the NHL’s CBA that allows teams to give one 19 year old player exceptional status to develop in the AHL.

This is must-watch content for all Montreal Canadiens fans, NHL fans, and those following the latest NHL rumours and free agency news. Whether you’re excited about Joe Veleno in Montreal, or anxious about the Canadiens’ upcoming schedule, this video has you covered.

  1. “We don’t know what Crosby will do”

But he’s not coming to Montreal?

How about if it happens sweet! If it doesn’t we don’t need him

Also it wouldn’t be Caufield or Hage, or Reinbacher

    Kapanen
    Strubble
    Volohkin
    A pick

Maybe that does it especially if Crosby pulls the plug and tells Dubas I want to go to Montreal

The price drops with the age and the lack of flexibility in trade partners

  2. I would love to see Mactavish with the Habs but as you said, Anaheim will match any offer, they have a ton of cap space after all, and move him next year if need be and get a huge return. My impression is that the Habs will start the season with this roster and then see who is made available as teams start to struggle. Myself, I have been saying that Pavel Zacha would be a perfect fit for months. He is smart two-way player, has size, is a left-handed shot who can play center and win faceoffs. Boston won’t admit it but they are rebuilding. I think there is a small possibility there that should at least be looked into.

  3. Why are we so fixated on all Right-handed Centres…. “ we need a Left-handed Centre…..Edmonton oilers have all Left-handed centres ( McDavid,Draisaitl,Nugent-Hopkins,Frederic,Henrique)but they don’t fixate on the need for a Right-handed centre
