You know where he’d be a good fit? Calgary. Would the damn media (and podcasters) get off of this already? If Calgary has a terrible season next year then maybe there can be a discussion finally by the trade deadline. But as is, Calgary had a better record this past season than Montreal. They missed on a tiebreaker because they’re in the western conference. Why in the world would they give up their top scorer when their biggest issue is scoring depth? The media doesn’t seem to know that though, because they only care about certain other markets. To them, a team like the Flames exist just to pick players off of.
If Wolf plays like he did last season, or maybe even better, they’re not going to be a bottom-team. So giving up a player like Kadri for draft picks or a lower-level player wouldn’t make any sense whatsoever.
No one in montreal think that Dach or Newhook are 2C. We don’t eve want Dach anymore in the team. We only expect to find a center for 2 years to keep that place for eventually Michael Hage
If you look at Hughes overall plan for the Habs, Kadri is still a maybe but admittedly a better maybe than most. A player like McTavish is a better fit for what Hughes is looking for Montreal.

Kadri would for sure be an interesting addition but there is one big glaring issue in my opinion. He doesn't fit at all in the High and Gordon plan, they would aim for Rossi or a player in a similar situation as Patrick Laine.
I listen to Montreal TSN radio all the time and nobody thinks Dach or Newhook are 2cs. Newhook is a winger and Habs fans were terrified/screaming when Newhook and Dach played with Laine 😂😂
You don’t understand much about MTL rebuild if you think Kadri is what MTL needs. That contract at that age??? And Habs fans are much more intelligent that you think. As if we think we have a bonfires 2 seed or a hole at two seed would get upset if you say we think we do !! LOL.
