Even if we dont lose McBain this summer, if it actually does go to arbitration, he'll be gone after that arbitrated contract is gone.
I’d hate to lose McBain. He was our hits (291) and +/- leader (+8) last year. Tanev will be good in the hits area but even he doesn’t throw as many as McBain (164). GMBA knows we’re easier and softer to play against without McBain. Please sign him!
McBain will not overtake Hayton as the 2C. Bainer is firmly a 3C/4C. I'm a big fan, but there is no way he moves into the 2C role.
They better lock him up or it will haunt them…Oilers Rangers Leafs Sharks would love to have him…
Maybe try & walk Christian Fischer back from his recent retirement announcement to fill-in; they also don't have enough right shots up front.
