Benoits spot to lose? Benoit at 1.3 mill was more reliable than Rielly at 7.5 mill. Benoit was one of the best value defensemen in the league last season and he provides that necessary grit we need. If anything, this makes Rielly even more expendable. That 7.5 mill for 5 more years would be the big direction change this organization needs because it would communicate that nobody (including nylander, Matthews) is secure and everyone needs to prove they're worth their salt
