I thought they traded Pettersson for a second there, with all the big Canucks trade announcements. Joshua is a popular but depth player. This trade only happens because Team Rutherford painted themselves into a corner again with their poor cap management.
Dak was never gonna play in the top6, and he was gonna be a 3rd/4th liner for $3.25mil/season. Also, we needed the money to address a pressing need where we needed a mid6 centre like Jack Roslovic…

Men usually peak in terms of athleticism in the 26/27/28 range, so at 29 his best days are behind him and all of the guys from Abby are below 27. Lets hope they are looking at cap flexibility and a trade moreso that signing a free agent. I am still hoping that they have their sights on Josh Norris/ or the kid in Minnesota…even Dylan Larkin
Good for Toronto, he is now playing on a tested playoff team. I can't see Vancouver making the playoffs this year.
