The Buffalo Sabres have gone viral for this hilarious post teasing the NHL schedule release today and they absolutely killed a team. Let’s talk about it. If you’re new here, I talk hockey every single day. So, make sure you follow so you don’t miss anything. But the Sabres put out this tweet and basically all they did was they gave every single team in the NHL a different type of wing. Now, there’s two in particular I really want to talk about. The first one is the Smashville wing. You can see it on the plate there. It’s just funny. It’s a smashed wing. But if you look at the top, it says Smashville wings in the community. If you don’t know what this is referencing, this is referencing the Predators prospects wearing t-shirts during their training camp that said Predators in the community, which was a big funny thing that happened online. The best one by far though is the one referencing the New York Rangers. You can see the post there and it’s made it look like it was Sean CCTV footage. If you don’t know what this is referencing, it’s referencing the New York Rangers firing their social media manager partway through the season and then having to use CCTV footage to show the players walking into each game. And they got made fun of so much online for this. The Sharks even made fun of this halfway through the season. And I have a video up on my page. You should go watch it. But it’s absolutely hilarious that the Savers dug deep for this one. And I’m so glad they did because they absolutely killed them.
