  1. Great jobs guys. You’re going to love Mailloux — he’s got a thunderous shot, great offensive instincts, can throw solid hits, and isn’t afraid to drop the gloves when needed.

  2. I’ll miss Bolduc. He was finally finding his groove and he has a very bright future. Opens the door for Dvorsky next season. Mailloux. I don’t know enough about. I see he has played around 10 nhl games. Big right handed defensemen. Will learn from Parayko and Faulk. Ok. We need the right side sided up and we have this young kid under control for several years now. Have to trade something good in order to get something good. Hopefully Army did not make a mistake.

Bolduc, have fun in your hometown area. I’ll be rooting for you unless you are playing the Blues

  3. mailloux can 100% be the no.1 pp qb for the blues. his shot is amazing, skates really and can be physical. defense of course needs work…but he's just 22.

  4. As a Habs fan, I know that the guy on the bottom knows nothing about Mailloux other than the stats sheet lol.
Mailloux isn't a goon but he definitely has a physical/mean side to his game.

  5. Blues fans, ur gonna love Mailloux, he does play a physical game, he can fight, score, moves the puck well. It was a good trade for both teams. I am gonna miss Mailloux.

  6. Mailloux probably has the hardest shot of any Dman not in the NHL yet. 100mph+ bomb… And accurate too. He's also got an edge to his play. He is physical and will be a beast in defending his teammates when he tops out. If you pair him up with a truculent stay at home Dman (he was briefly paired with Xhekaj in Laval and raised his game at that point), you're going to get a very dynamic defenceman that will be a pain to play against on the man advantage and along the boards. I think it's a great gamble by the Blues. He's a top 4 D at best, but a unique player in that his mobility, shot, size and size will outweigh his shortcomings in terms of defensive zone play and hockey IQ. Plus, he's done a lot of work on himself and is as mature and upstanding as you'd want any young man to be at this point. Full marks St Louis. Excellent pick up. We will miss him in Laval/Montreal.

  7. Oh goodness, losing the best shot on our team is hard to swallow, but we are loaded in the AHL with wingers, we are not loaded at RH D men with upside. I understand the trade, but, I LOVE your review and commentary. You two rock for your thoughts about the Note. Keep on going, your site will grow exponentially. Life long Blues fan here, appreciating your work.

  8. Win win…a young Big RD …an offensive player but will need guidance on his defensive decisions. But being young will and the talent…he's a good investment.

  9. You guys will love mailloux he’s a tough dmen who can score he’ll fit right in and thank you for bolduc

  10. Mailloux could be a very good offensive dmen in a year or two, I'm sad to see him leave this early. On the other hand I feel like Bolduc fits with Montreal really well. Great trade for both team

  11. This may not be a steal for the blues, but they won this trade. Yes he's got lots of defensive shortcomings but if you can even bring those up to just slightly below NHL average and pair him with the right guy this fellow will be a beast for you.

  12. It really is a fair trade. Both teams are sad to see the potential leave, but both teams traded out acposition they had too much if, for a position of nerd
In tegards to the "elephant in the room", dont worry he is NOT a bad guy.
But you are correct, he just needs to wirk on the defensive side IQ, he has all the tools.

  13. I dont feel this was the move that Army wanted to make. I think he perfered to move Kyrou for a higher level defenseman. Bolduc was the casuality of that not being able to get done.

  14. from Dobber prospects. Encouraging on the defensive end of things June 2025 – After being one of the last cuts in camp, Mailloux looked to round out his game at the AHL level. The offense took a bit of a hit, but he’s become such a better player. The offensive instincts are still there,

  15. Habs fan here- Offensively Logan could have went from OHL to NHL…but defensively he may he need another year of development in the AHL, but I think that always depends who he will play with on the Blues. Mailloux reminds me of Subban, crazy shot, hits like a truck and very good skater for his size…Unfortunately below the blue line he is shakey and sometimes makes very questionable decisions.

  16. Habs fan here and Montreal will miss Mailloux. He’s a beast albeit needing to shore up defensive attributes. Fair trade and huge massive enormous upside to Mailloux. Good luck to the Blues

  17. Think Mailloux will be great player, just didn’t really fit in Montreal, they 4 really good young d man, Mailloux sure could have fit in but he was expendable, like the trade for Montreal, I think I kind of like it for St. Louis as well, I’d say Montreal maybe benefits a bit more from this, but close trade
