Kaapo Kakko Is SO Good

A couple of weeks ago the New York rangers traded away Kappo Kakko to the Seattle Kraken because they decided he was not where he needed to be with the franchise. Since then he has seven points in 10 games and is on pace to have the best season in his career. It makes you wonder about what everyone was saying concerning the New York rangers player development and how it is not good.

  1. Kaapo has lots of potential in right atmosphere and with right team mates. Look at Kaapo's play in world chamionships. He dominates the rink in every game. I know it is different but guy was also younger then.

  2. Rangers fan here says that trade was better for the Rangers in my opinion. The Rangers are a horrible defensive team who needed a player who understands where he should be in the defensive zone. So far I’ve seen Borgen play well and add value to a poorly playing Ranger back line. Kakko got lost on the Rangers which was a coaching mistake. Players need continuity to get comfortable playing with line mates. Laffy should have solidified Kakko with 2 steady line mates instead of moving the guy around every game. Borgen is a good add in my book

  3. I remember after he was drafted he played in some sort of preseason NHL rookie training games and he literally skated circles around everyone

  4. Kaapo need just good players same line, i know he Is better then many many OTHER NHL players. Hi from FINLAND 🇫🇮

  5. Kakko seems to prefer the kind and gentle atmosphere of Seattle. That's not New York and all the more reason why that trade was necessary. Kakko is a skilled finesse skater but physicality is not his game. That easy going style of playing won't get you far when the money is on the line.

  6. It's Kaapo, not Kappo.

It's funny how consistently Americans spell foreign names wrong. For example I was in contact with some insurance companies when figuring out if it's better or even possible for me to buy a car instead of renting for a road trip in the states, and couple of different places referred to me my name spelled wrong, even though I wasn't phoning them, they answered to my email which has my name in the address and also signed after the message, so it wasn't about them not knowing how to spell what they heard. I know double vowels are weird for you guys, but maybe just copy what is written originally and for high profile people like NHL players there's also Google and such 😅

  7. Could you please respect the man enough that you would even bother writing his name correctly?

  8. even when he was the best forward in rangers they benched him… and played people who were worse and had 3x caphit like they had no responsebility in anything.

  9. Kakko was given everything in NY but didn't work out. Now he's on hot start in Seattle until he returns to his form

  10. Shall see. There were plenty of guys in Rangers that should have been scratched before Kakko. That I think tells enough about Rangers handling Kakko. Start with that bum Mika or something.
    Good start in Kraken.

  11. I think it's both. I would not have drafted him that high. He was dominant against some other junior players mostly because of his early-bloom physique. It was like a man playing with boys. Once he went to the NHL there were no more boys to toss around.

  12. They do not want the youth to break out in NY because they wouldn't be able to afford their upcoming higher salaries in addition to the current core. I get it, but giving away a 2nd overall pick for free is criminally bad management.

  13. As a Rangers fan Crappo sucks. And I could care less what he's doing now.

    2 goals against Buffalo 😂😂😂😂 wow 😂😂😂
