The NJ Devils are still looking at acquiring a top 6 forward and with a thin list of players available in free agency, they may have to go the trade route.
One team to look into is the Seattle Kraken with the CAP space they have left. With the Rumors still going around about the Devils possibly trading Defenseman Dougie Hamilton, I did a video talking about how a Hamilton trade for Jared McCann makes sense. it would be a trade that would benefit both teams if these players are in fact available.

Tom "Booze Face" Fitzgerald is such an incredibly brutal GM. The fact he put himself & the team in this current spot, of being stuck in cap limbo…unable to sign his own RFAs while also being unable to sign any legitimate UFAs. Plus Fitz HAS to deal Daws also because of the one way deal.

Normally I agree with what you say but I don’t think McCann is right for us. He’s much too “slow” for our style of play. Especially if paired with peanut butter and jelly. Also if we did trade Dougie for McCann the Devils need to be the one getting picks or prospects back. McCanns value isn’t nowhere near as high as Dougies.
Good video as always… but not sure if im with ya on this one…. im pretty confident that Dougie wont be in a Devils sweater this season, but is this the best return? I dont know a whole lot about McCann (thanks for enlightening me!) ..i'm just not so sure he is a top line winger – although he's an upgrade over what we have now! Im just not yet sold on him….. keep the videos coming – maybe ill like McCann more when i see there isnt much more out there (that we can get for Dougie) LGD!
Trading Dougie is a huge mistake. It would be smarter to move Palat and Mercer.
I always enjoy your videos, and i like McCann very much too, but i wouldnt trade Hamilton for him. You bring up a great logical argument for the trade, but if i were to trade Hamilton, i would more inclined to do it in a trade pkg for Q.Hughes trade OR to Vegas for a blockbuster pkg for Heryl & Barbashav.
Now for McCann, i would see if Seattle would be interested in Casey +, but i just wouldnt trade Hamilton in that sutuation.
I also think the Palat will get moved but it bets the hell out of me which team he would go to and what team could absorb the full $6 mil

Tommy Fitz will have to eat some of Hamilton’s crazy contract if he wants to move him…I dont think younger teams will touch him…soft defensively and not exactly known as a locker room leader…Devs are stuck with him in my opinion…

The Devils aren't trading Hamilton! I think the only reason that they didn't trade Palat yet is because they want to re-sign Luke Hughes first.
