this would be a good trade for the leafs if they werent replacing mitch marner with dakota joshua. also i hate this trade because it give me a good reason to cheer for the leafs, yuk.
Loved Dakota Joshua when he played for my Blues. Love seeing him in another blue jersey. GLG!
Ffs! Swear to god, Canucks management is gawd awful — again, and for flipping ever!!
Fantastic acquisition!
Good player, nice deal.
$3.35M/yr & and a 4th,,, for Canucks healthy scratched 13th+ forward, that Abbotsford AHL'rs are surpassing…..
FO you say…
LOL
As a Canucks fan (that happens to work with cancer patients) I’m particularly sad to see Joshua go. I was looking forward to Dak having a bounce back year for us in 25-26. I genuinely hope he has a great season with the Leafs 💙
nut cancer causes balance issues one less nut
will toronto be a better play off team yes will the team make the play offs maybe
Back to tomorrows headline "CONNOR MCDAVID WILL HE SIGN!!!!"
Taking chances on guys like Joshua and Macceli are exactly how you get the depth to win a stanley cup. Its how my Avs did it, hitting on guys like Lehkonen and Toews and massively hit on Nichushkin, and how the Panthers have the stupid depth they do, they hit the jackpot on everyone, Bennett, Reinhart, Verhaege, Forsling etc. If the Maple leafs hit on a guy like Macceli and he jumps to a 60 point guy and Joshua gets to 35, 40 points suddenly the Leafs are alot more balanced
You must be really fucken bored to think this is anywhere near a good pickup
As a lightning fan these are one of those ones that make me nervous. Dude could seriously get even better than his highs in the nhl so far. That 18 and 14 could turn into 23 and 26. I truly believe that. Hes that good imo. Will it happen?? Hopefully not only for the Lightning’s sake lol
I thought Joshua was looking more and more like his old self as the season went on last year. I'm sad to see him go, but wish him all the best. Toronto fans are going to love this guy, especially come playoff time.
As a Canucks fan I do not approve of this trade…
Enjoy Dak, he’s a beauty and still has some potential to grow. Was killer in our playoff run in 2024 🥲
Doesn't he have 610 hits in 3 years
Huge Canucks fan here. I can’t believe we traded Dak away for a shitty fucking fourth round pick in 2028. You guys scored a really good player. This guy is fast on the puck really physical, intense leadership type and will drop the gloves. Also has silky mitts. I fucking hate my team right now. Miller, Zadorov, Joshua, and Cole all out the door since the playoff run. Fucking brutal. I’m so disappointed.
Sorry bout the f bombs
Does anyone happen to know who/what those "future considerations" became when the Leafs traded Joshua after they drafted him?
I think the leafs move Kampf to New Jersey for whatever the Devils feel like, because Jeremy Colliton LOVES Kampf. Dude had him as the hawks 2C for more games than he ever had any right when he was in Chicago.
BEEEEF!!!!!!!!
Amazing pick up for the Leafs. Can't believe the Canucks let him go for basically nothing. I have a feeling Joshua will have a bounce back season points wise.
Canuck fans were really looking forward to a huge comeback season from Joshua 🙁
I'm excited to see new names on the team for a change
"Awesome!!! BT is really making some calculated moves here. He's building a well-rounded, deep roster. I love what he's doing! He’s always seeking value while adding toughness and size. A well-balanced approach, and he's not afraid to pay a premium for a big fish when necessary. Win, lose, or draw… the SUPER GM is doing it right. Much respect!!! 🏆❤️🏒🍀💫👊✨"
Canucks fan here , didn’t like the contract when they signed it , glad they’ve gotten rid of it before he puts up another 20 point season and you have to attach assets to get rid of it. Garland was the engine of that line.
And most of his points were clutch moments during crunch time, take care of my boy I have a signed framed picture of him in my den😔
If the Leafs trade Kampf, Jarnkrok and Robertson, they better get some high to medium draft picks… The cupboard just got a little more bearer with this trade.
You may have gotten Dakota Joshua, but that 4th rounder might be Dakota Joshua!
Love it love it love it. Remember when other teams pushed the Leafs around? Yeah, nah. They might not be as good next season but they will be a bad night for everyone else.
As a blues fan it’s funny cause yeah he’s a huge Berube guy
Enjoy Dak. He is awesome.
Can this Vancouver player perform in the playoffs . Can he up his game by 35 %. Most cant Sir.
massive news! Leafs the Panthers own you! You have to do better but it is already too late hope you make the playoffs
You feel the Leafs are selecting players who will "GO"? 🤔 Not sure I agree with you on that one. If that is true, why didn't they keep Reaves? Is Reaves not a player who would "GO"? Why didn't the Leafs play Reaves in the first game in the series against Florida? Prior to the start of the Florida series, it was obvious that Florida was going to play physical. Reaves should had been in the game just to play check. You say, this is in hindsight. I say "No". However, let's go with that. After learning that Florida not only played physical but they played dirty against Stolarz, why didn't the Leafs play Reaves in game two to look for revenge? If not for revenge but to keep Florida in check after the fact. Nope, they didn't play Reaves. Why? We'll, it true that the Leafs won game one. Was there a thought that playing Reaves might cost the team a successful game 2? The Leafs won game 2. So, keeping Reaves out of play was a good thing because he lacks enough skill to keep the team successful? I'm not understanding. I liked Reaves. I don't think they worked with him enough to help him be the best he could be. Reaves hit on Nurse was awesome and was what I was looking and hoping he would do to all of the Florida players. The Leafs didn't go that way. What makes you feel that is what they are looking for from these new acquisitions?
