Maurice is great. I don’t agree with the handshake line thing, though. Especially in Brind’Amour’s case. Players have a ton of respect for ex-players and champs like Rod. Paul can’t just say “don’t do it”, especially not on the spot like that. It’s disrespectful. If it were a league rule, fine, but Paul Maurice can’t expect to dictate terms like they’re policy when they’re not.

I always liked Paul Murice. My Red Wings killed him early in his career, but look at him now.
As an oilers fan, the cup was deserved once again, oilers just weren’t ready this year. 😅 Paul is a class act though. Amazing coaching by him as always.

Toronto: Not everything is about you. He is explaining why they are being honoured by their coach. That the leafs were the team they came back against is immaterial. He was just acknowledging how they earned what he is talking about. That is who Paul Maurice is, not some petty Toronto or Winnipeg hater. He is an exemplar of Class!
