Scott McLaughlin crashes during warm-up laps before Indy 500 green flag | INDYCAR
everybody oh no we’ve got a crash scott mclolin and we were talking earlier about guerrero back in ‘ 92 the one thing you don’t want to do is to have your race ended before it’s even begun it is over sorry bud it’s okay don’t stress about it that’s all right we’re okay 1992 was cold like this as scott dixon the number nine pnc car smoking and you have to wonder was there contact or is that moisture on the track and maybe there was still some moisture from mclaclin and his spin but his left front suspension is destroyed his day is over scott dixon is on fire on the left rear what has happened out there on track between these two this time scott two of the favorites coming in two very strong contenders see massive fire inside the left rear tire there at dixon that’s in the brake system it’s behind the he didn’t pit we heard the call over the radio to pit this lap they left him out there that could be a huge issue as we see the devastation on scott mclaclin’s face in his body language and that is what it means that is what it means to have your dreams wrenched away from you before you’ve even had an opportunity to make them real gawling utterly glawing for scott dix for scott mclaughlin and i wonder guys scott dixon on row two mcglaughlin on row four how could they have come together they’re two rows apart well well we don’t know if they had contact yet but let’s get a report maybe on what’s going on with scott dixon’s car as the amr safety team goes to work on mccclaclin kevin so listening to the number nine radio it does not sound as dire uh they need to just cool the brakes mike hull his strategist is telling him “let’s just cool the brakes it’s all going to be fine.” they are not planning to pit at this moment and they have the benefit felix rosenquist who’s right behind dixon can radio in and get some information because there’s a relationship between jim cassie and jim meyer here’s what happened with scotty mack be right on board with mclaton warming his tires oh no oh no warming his tires swerving just to put some temperature into the rubber and just loses it the track is cold the tires are cold these cars are set up to turn left they don’t do straight very well townson and when you light up the rear tires to try to get a bit of heat into them it is so easy to have that happen well especially if there’s any of that residual rain moisture on the racetrack and for scott mclaclin the worst feeling i can possibly imagine as a racing

I always thought that warming up the tires was the most dangerous part of the race
I always thought that warming up the tires was the most dangerous part of the race
Looks like the steering locked up, the wheels didnāt respond.
Karma. 40 hours of practice and I guess he didnāt practice how to warm his tires? Lol
I think Ericsson hit us
Whut š®
Grosjean: first time?
Ericsson: here we go again
He stopped himself from saying it was a rookie move ā¦he said it was a rookā¦then said I just have to review what happened
And here I though Larson down shifting entering the corner was bad.
Terrible coverage by Fox. They didn't have a clue.
oh boohoo, not bad luck for team penske, here I am playing the world's smallest violin
A Bill Buckner moment…š
He crashed during the pace lap? As in the race hasnāt started yet š lol
Cheaters never prosper … Penske = fraud
Hahahaha – what a pathetic loser!
As Arnold would say, "McLaughlin is a girly man."
Was there, right in front of where scott ended up at. Crazy how many crashes happened this race! All before the first 50!
Kyle Larson said it best LMFAO what an idiot
Why are Indy cars so hideous to look at?
Tuff gig man.
What happened Scotty, miss a turn? Thereās only four, all left.š
He was not calm .
He jerked the steering, also gassed it.
Totally driver error.
Nobody to blame but himself.
He truly screwed the pooch . No sympathy.
Some things make you just shake your head, and roll your eyes. What a shame. Indy is a cruel mistress.
Fella went full Lance Stroll …..sad š²
I look at the video. Extreme steering and throttle input WTF.
They are called slicks for a reason. They can be slick.
Roberto Guerrero has entered the chat.
It's even worse when you consider that swerving side to side doesn't really do much to warm up the tires anyway.
Scotty Mac Is Mad
Whoops
