Jamie McLennan on Thatcher Demko’s reported contract extension, Silovs future and more
Former NHL Goaltender and TSN NHL Analyst Jamie McLennan joined the guys and talked about a reported contract extension for Thatcher Demko and Silovs future with the organization.
If they sign Demko, I'd like the Canucks to carry three goalies to start the season as insurance against him going on the IR in the first couple months of the season.

canucks shouldn't extend demko, he's made of glass, they should focus on lanky + silovs combo but looks like they gonna sign demko =[

There are a lot of unknowns with Demko. If he’s signed we definitely can’t have a no trade clause. I also think you have to find a way to play Silovs.
I imagine they're signing him to move him. Doesn't make sense to extend him now before he's game tested for awhile.
Unless Canucks management are miracle workers, this is a rebuild year. Could see 3-5 Abby Canucks in the line up.

Ffs Rutherford and Allvin are more incompetent than Benning. I honestly didn't think that was possible

extending demko is a desperate move. they really don’t believe hughes will stay so they want to keep as many stars as they can to sell tix.
