WHAT RYAN REAVES BRINGS TO THE SAN JOSE SHARKS #hockey #nhl #trade #sharks #video #news #reaves

The San Jose Sharks have acquired veteran enforcer Ryan Reeves. This acquisition should prove to be extremely valuable for a young team like the San Jose Sharks who have several young players, such as Macklin Celebrini, Will Smith, and Michael Misa that they want to protect. Reeves has played for several teams in his career, including the Pittsburgh Penguins the New York Rangers, the Minnesota wild the St. Louis Blues and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Just as teams such as the New York Islanders Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks, and Edmonton Oilers have had success. They also all had enforcer’s willing to make sure that opposing teams tough guys did not try to harm their superstars. #hockey #nhl #news #sharks #sanjose #ryan #reaves #willsmith #smith #video #youtube #macklincelebrini

  1. Reaves is a joke! Why would you want a mouthpiece like that around your up-and-coming team? I understand he may drop the gloves and protect them, but at what cost to the dressing room and development?

Chicago tried the same thing with Bedard, surrounding him with veterans like Hall and Perry. If the rumors are true about Perry, imagine what Reaves may be capable of with these kids.

Admittedly, these teams are looking at the Oilers' failed attempts at integrating their first-round picks. I think it comes down the the upbringing and character of the player more than anything. I watched Yakapov and Hall's headcases fail while RNH and McDavid succeed personally. It is pretty easy to see the difference in their personalities.

I do not think that the end result had anything to do with the players around them, as 93 and 97 were just good kids!

Keep up the awesome work, as I LOVE putting an Oiler spin on everything you write. 😁
