I'd love to see Barron on the left side to open up his shot and defensively he got much better at the end of the year but still not great. Blankenburg earned his spot and proved he can play alongside a more offensive guy and fill in defensive lapses so he should be a solid partner to start.

“Can the Nashville Predators get back into contention?” The correct question is, “should the Nashville Predators try to get back into contention.”
It’s tempting to want the Preds to climb back into the playoff mix after another season having come nowhere close to a playoff spot. Yet as much as I believe it’ll be crucial for the vets on that team to lead the way, who knows to what degree any of them will? It’s not like Stamkos or Marchessault is getting younger or is under the age of 30 anymore.
I really thought Blanks was a stud this season on the blue line and showed some flash. Do y’all not think there’s a spot for Blankenburg? I think he earned his spot on the third pair
