Kirby Dach is the number 2 center. Time to stop all the nonsense.
Move Arbor on to the left wing on line 4, and bring up Engstrom to the D. This will work well and Arbor can sub as a D-man if an injury occurs! Arber has the hardest shot on the team and should be shooting at the net with every chance he gets.
No to Kadri unless we get him for next to nothing.

I've said it before & still feel the most important thing for Gorton & Hughes is to build a line around Demidov. Everything MUST be oriented towards making Demidov the superstar we all believe he will become!!!!!!
If Dach's not the answer and a prospect is not the answer then they MUST continue to look outside for that "2C".

i like Dobas BUT he is not the Canadiens backup right now.. Its Kaapo Kahkonen's to lose. Dobes will have to completely outplay Kaapo in traning camp to take the job from him. Hughes will have little desire to rush Dobes or Fowler into the big net. A yr in Laval for both young netminders as a 1A & 1B duo should be exactly what they both need

Im comfortable in our Habs. People have to realize we traded Alexander Romanov, 1st pk, 3rd pk & 4th pk for Kirby Dach. His first yr was trending up. He really hasnt had anyone to play with when at the Ctr spot; A 2nd yr Slafkovsky or a Patrick Laine back from long term injury is the best he ever has been put with. Dach playing wing with Suzuki & Caufield is was damn good for the most part. Completely worth out time to see what he can do this year with the writing on the wall for his career….. We are at least 2 yrs away from a legit contenders. Lets try to think building a dynasty as our focus then the usual low hockey knowledge & I want to win now and then fail

For the Kadri trade, if the prospect ask was Roy, I'd give him up in a heartbeat.

There is also a chance that our top lines chemistry is not as good as it was last year. That could get mixed up as well. Demidov's development will be fun to watch
