  1. I totally agree with your point here. Low risk extention with a high reward. He plays well for us or we can easily trade that contract. Lets see what happens. Good show Russ!!!

  2. Im with you 100% Russ. Im not a big York guy but I was expecting a two year bridge deal for 5-6 million. To get him for five years at just over 5 million is a bargain. Look at what guys like Ceci and Hague got.

  3. Great contract! Average going rate for a 2nd pair D is 7-7.5mil. Our #1 pair combined makes what Dahlin makes in a season. We need a true #1D. There are no REALISTIC 2026 UFA/RFA #1D’s that we will be able to get. So, we should take a swing for Byram now. He wants top pair minutes. We can pair him with Drysdale. That would theoretically end the rebuild. Top line, top pair D, all supporting lines reinforced with the future goaltenders developing.
