Does anybody know the nature of Gibson's current injury? He is listed on PuckPedia as currently being injured.

I'm hoping Todd can elevate the mental state of Detroit too. The leaders in the team seem to be unstable, if the goings good, the team does well, as we saw with the initial new coach bump. However if the team hits a speed bump, their mental state, and subsequently their gameplay, deteriorates fast.

Fire Steve. This roster is miserable
If they want to fire Yzerman, this will be a great offseason to do it.
1. 24-25 draft picks over 3 years (assuming they are deadline sellers)
2. ASP, Cossa, Buch, MBN will be over by that time
3. A Top-10 pick in 26’
4. $40M+ in cap space
5. Augustine, Ant.Johansson, Kiiskinen, Bear over in 27’
6. Only a few players over 30 years old (assuming a Compher buyout)
Was Greg Stefan, Chris Osgood, and Hasek driven into the ground? They played most games, that is a weak man's take. 2025 puss take.

Unless the blue line is fixed and a top six forward is added, I cannot see the wings having a good season with playoff potential with the current roster. Mo & Raymond will do what they always do. The same could probably be said for Cat & Larkin. Kasper will continue to shine and is a rising star. The same could be said for Edvinson. Thank you guys. Ray L
One player new to this team won’t make a difference. This team has no heart and won’t stick up for each other. Other teams aren’t afraid of taking cheat shots at red wings players because we don’t have anyone that will drop the gloves and take care of business.
Don't see why more people dont talk about Danielson as the line 1 LW. He'd get big minutes and has to be better than a couple of other guys we'd put there. And being on PK2, PP1 and line 1 HAS to be enough of a role to get Yzerman to act. Even if he plays a full 200 ft defensive game and is semi competent on offense that's a big plus. And if he's getting PK2 time that keeps getting him a little in game face off experience. Looking long term, what's a better value for the team, him at line 1 wing or line 3 center?
There no question that, if healthy, Gibson is an improvement. Combine that with an improved bottom 6 and a likely improved PK (it’s almost impossible to be worse) this team could make playoffs for sure. They missed by 5 points last season after getting 30 of 68 points to start the season. Is it a roster that might go on a cup run… no. But anyone saying they have no chance at playoffs isn’t paying attention.
