  1. I dont want to here suffocation without Mike Smith specially live exept pierst from withen on cd Also as to be with Frink Molen and Terrance Of COURSE

  2. HI MIKE!!! Im right now listening to suffocation live 2005 on my ears I Hope you will come bac with suffo becose ……………………….. But luky me Ive got 4 SUFFOCATION Live performances on my personal minidisc so I love my self an a alf Thank you to listen to my kataklysm drum solo Your my def metal drum teacher !!! !!!

  3. I think because he is left handed? His arms don't cross over allowing both arms to be
Parallel which allows his chest muscles to follow through….

  4. Uhhh, actually? 🤔 There WERE a few others that WERE DOING THAT, dude 🥁. Maybe NOT the straight on, 1on 1 matching "SUFFO Blasts" as Mike Smith DID kinda help create THAT, IF THAT'S what "that guy behind the console" might be, referring to…Sure.. But yeah, Nawww guy , Lol…Mike and Suffocation are GREAT but, yeah….Can you say Pete COMMANDO Sandoval, Steve Asheim, Lee Harrison, Alex Marquez and??? The LIST actually CAN and DOES , go ON…Oh and yeah?, FAWK Syster of a Clown 🤡 THAT crap IS BEYOND unlistenable tripe. ROCK the funk ON 😎🤘🔥🤘

  5. Used this as inspiration when i first started drumming and had multiple drummers tell me how good my blast beats are after so many shows and i would always refer them to Mr Mike Smith

  6. He didnt invent the blastbeat obv, but maybe he brought it to the hammer blast tecnique
Love this guy, theres plenty of drummers in the DM scene (eg culross) but mike was one of the prime movers in the brutal death genre

  7. Seeing this video like 12 years ago, I have thought about it a lot that whole time, it is one of the foundational standards to which I hold my effort

  8. after this guy left suffocation, their drumming got generic and forgettable… the drumming returned to point only in their newest album
