It’s OBVIOUS where this is going for the Bruins now…

It is obvious where this is going for the Boston Bruins right now as another name has been thrown out there as a target for the Bruins in this year’s free agency. We’re going to be breaking down that report, going over the fit for this Bruins team. So, we also have another report on Jeremy Swingman and his trade that was going down with the Edmonton Oilers. And finally, we’re going to be breaking down this current roster. There’s another report is saying that this team could be a playoff team. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a lot to cover here in this video. Before we do jump into it, though, very quickly, be sure to hit the sub button if you haven’t already. We’re on the road to 8K and we’re just about a quarter of the way there. Your guys support has been absolutely incredible as of late and we appreciate all of your support here on the channel. Of course, as the Bruins news not really dying down here, but the NHL certainly on a bit of a hiatus. The Bruins are still continuing to put the work in, make some moves to make sure that this team is ready to get back to another playoffs as soon as possible. Now, I want to get straight into this one here. Starting off, of course, with this new potential target that the Bruins are currently looking at. I should say potential signing because this is definitely a target the Bruins are looking at. And I want to pull up here our first quote here going over from of course sports now. If the Bruins want to return to the playoffs next season after missing out in 2025, their 29th ranked power play will have to improve significantly. This is from Josh Wegman. That makes Olafson a great fit. His 105 career NHL goals. 41 have come on the man advantage. And as a lefty with a leial shot from the right half wall, he could compliment David Poshock on the opposite flank and is a bit of a one-dimensional, but he addresses Boston’s biggest need. Now, this is a very interesting one because a lot of people did not expect Victor Olivesson to still be on the market to this point, and it’s really clear what the Bruins intentions are and what they’re trying to do with this signing. They’re still looking for this top six forward and going in here and now getting a guy in a potential deal going over, you know, a threeyear deal. We’re going to jump into what the projection is from AFP Analytics. A deal that makes a lot of sense for the Bruins would be this one for Victor Olivesson who looking at the offense of course would slot in even not just in the power play but in a top six role if need be and has kind of been bounced up and down throughout the Buffalo roster throughout the Vegas roster last year and has really cemented himself as a middle six forward and really being able to play on the power play as well which is a mighty important part for this Boston Bruins team. Now, going back into Victor Olson’s stats, I know they are a bit small here. As you can see, the one year with Vegas, he had last year, 29 points in 56 games, but when we go and take a look at his stats from Buffalo over the past few years, pretty much a you know, half point per game player, I guess, is a good way of putting it. You know, 49 points, 40 points, 32 I believe that is, I can’t really read that. 42 points in his uh second uh or I guess first real year, his rookie year. He’s a player that has shown a lot of potential and especially at 29 years old only playing in the NHL since 2018 2019. He has a lot of talent, not just in the SHL, but has shown his game in the NHL as well. And we know that the Buffalo Sabres was a spot where not many players fund success and ultimately go somewhere else to be a very successful player. It really seems like that is the route for Olison right now as well going into Vegas and now ultimately still being a free agent on the market here. taking a look at his previous contracts as well. You see started off Buffalo went to a $3 million contract after his ELC a 4.7 with Buffalo here and then in that uh the last year with Vegas a $1 million deal. Now it has been pretty clear that especially what we saw from Victor Olivesson this year compared to that 23 24 season with Buffalo where he totaled 15 points in 51 games. Not a great look there. a big jump up here this year in 30 points or 29 points, excuse me, in 56 games and goes back to just after his rookie deal is at a projection of three by 3.4 million. Now, Victor Olivesson for the player he is, what he provides to the to a team, even though he may not be getting, you know, first line minutes or even second line minutes necessarily, he can and certainly would be able to, but for him just beyond the power play, don’t even need to put him on the offense of, you know, full four lines, this deal is significantly worth it. And the fact that he has not been signed by any teams really makes me think that the Bruins have to be on in on him at least in some sort of way whether or not they’ve spoken to him because that power play advantage that he has as you what you see there from Joshman. I’ll pull that back up as well once again the 41 goals of his 105 in his career have come on the man advantage that right there is a player you need on the power play if you want to revamp your team. So, this is a prime opportunity for the Bruins, and it seems like this is the really obvious move that they have to make here coming into the uh kind of tail end of free agency. Of course, it doesn’t really end necessarily, but it certainly is of the bigger players still available is one that the Bruins need to keep an eye on very very closely and get signed ASAP. And before we move on, I wanted to pull up his stats from this year, kind of go a little bit in depth with our graphic here. a 5’11 guy. You know, obviously not the biggest player there that the Bruins would have, but at, you know, 14 point or 14.3, sorry, 14 and a half minutes time on ice per game, he’s playing around the third, second line minutes, and especially on a team like Vegas where that team is very, very deep. He definitely would be a player that would be on that third line. You go to the Bruins now, kind of compare that. Would you put him there instead of Victor Arvdson? A lot of questions are rising there. But for a guy who’s turning 30 in 4 days time, seems like that’d be a good a good birthday gift to get signed by the Boston Bruins. So, let me know what you think about that. But we do have to move on to another report here coming out. And uh it’s a very interesting one. We’ve spoken about it a little bit before here over the past little while, especially in this offseason, but this came out yesterday from David Pagnata. The Oilers have re-engaged before Anaheim traded John Gibson to Detroit to at least see what the price tag was on Jeremy Swayman. other than an inquiry to Boston I think in November for Jeremy Swayman. I haven’t gotten a sense they’ve nearly sorry they heavily explored the goalie market and this is a very interesting one as well because we saw that Jeremy Swayman was wanted by Edmonton. They wanted to see where he was and there’s a lot of reports coming out about this and continuing on. Some names are saying that the Oilers will once again check in here the uh during the season if the Bruins continue to not be the greatest team. And as we know, looking at the goalie kind of depth chart right now for the Bruins, Y Corposal seems to be at some point going to be traded here in this off season with the signing of Michael Dpietro really being the key piece here. And one of the more shocking I would say signings of this offseason because of where we currently stand with our goalending, but when we were looking elsewhere, there’s not really a goalie I would trust as the number one here. And unless the Bruins get someone back in return and you know I really don’t think a guy like Steuart Skinner or Calvin Pickard are starting goalies and that would likely have to be the return for the Boston Bruins. I think it’s a very very tough ask to get Jeremy Swayman unless you’re easily winning a trade with you know multiple first round picks maybe a star player as well thrown in on top of that. And I don’t even really want to think about that just at this moment because we’re expecting Jeremy Swayman to have a big bounce back here. And honestly, we have to hope that is going to be the case as well because if not, the Bruins may have another very, very similar season to what they did last year. And we saw how that played out. And a lot of that was due to Jeremy Swayman. And we can only hope that doesn’t happen again. But we do have one more topic here before we finish the video off. And this is a very interesting one here as well coming into it. And taking a look at this when we look at the Bruins depth chart from the bottom six. The potential to be a playoff caliber group is there. The only question is whether the top half of the lineup will be able to carry their weight. That seems highly unlikely unless Poshak’s even more heroic season than 2425. And we know how good David Poshnock was last year. Now, this report comes out from Cosway crowd and it’s a very interesting one because obviously we go take a look at this team and a lot of people are not too happy with the bottom six here. Even though we saw these moves from Don Sweeney, you guys know that I’ve been one saying that this team certainly got better from last year. Of course, you have these younger players that are trying to get into this lineup. They cannot be given the spot. I think that’s something that we all agree on here. But going down to guys like Henry Jenote, Mikey Asamont, Sean uh Sean Carelli, even Victor Arbitson there in the top six, the guys they added in the bottom here and of course resigning John Beecher really gives the team some grit down in below. And we saw a bit last year with of course um Mark Castle, Justin Brazo a little bit, but we saw that fourth line, but Cole kept on as well be very very good for a few games throughout the season, but it was not enough to be able to justify running that line back. So adding a guy like Tanner Jano who we know what he brings to the table. Mikey Asimont who on the uh Tampa Bay Lightning has been a very very solid player in that bottom six and Sean Corali who is returning back here with a a kind of new sense of a hockey style. This is going to be a very interesting bottom six. I want to know what you guys think. Do you guys agree with what they had to say here in the article going over that this could be a playoff caliber group? I think that as the se off seasonason continues to go on and the more we start to see and eventually get these guys on the ice, I think we’re going to see a very interesting looking team and a lot different from what we saw last year. Playoff team may be a bit of a stretch, but I love what they’re thinking here. So, I want to know what you guys think as well. So, let me know what you think about all the stuff here in this video. Of course, we had a lot to cover and I think there’s a lot of interesting stuff where the Bruins currently stand. So, let me know what you think there in that about all the kind of topics down below, especially the one going over uh Victor Olen. That is really the most interesting in my mind. But that’s all I got in this video. If you did enjoy, give it a like. Hit the sub button as well. I’m signing off though. Thank you for watching. Hope you have a great day. See you later.

  1. If he plays the full 82 game season, he’s a 46-50 point scorer with about 22/23 goals. At 3.4 (if they can get him for that) it’s well worth it, especially on the PP.

  2. If they go and get Ollofson, I’m moving Eyssimont to 4c and Jeannot to 4 LW, put Beecher in the team box (really don’t see why they brought him back)

  3. I love how the Canadian media thinks the Bruins would just hand the oilers swayman. Swayman is a top 3 goalie in the league. Ok Oilers, Leon for Swayman. The oilers have nothing worth trading. If a bottom 5 team in the league wants to trade some high end prospects and multiple first round picks I would talk. That won’t happen. The oilers have literally 2 assets and they won’t trade them so Toronto and Canada media needs to shut the fuck up.
