It really doesn’t matter what they do . If come game one of the regular season Stu Skinner is between the pipes Edmonton is not going anywhere near the Cup. You cannot teach a three legged horse to win the Kentucky Derby. Goaltending is the backbone of the team. How many times have we’ve seen Bobrovsky bailout the FL D#. Many times. Stu , not so much.
The past 2 years the Oilers make it to the finals , but when they get there , it seems to me that ran out energy . Just maybe its time to bring some younger skill players that can skate fast and put the puck into the net . Have some new young players mix with some of the old skill players . I been watching hockey 65 years now and that's is a lot of hockey . I love watching Ottawa Sens games , because of their speed , every game they play there is no slackers , but they all try their best . Last hockey playoffs they gave Toronto a good run and almost beat them . Ottawa Sens has no big contracts . Just give the Sens a few more years and they will be very hard to beat
Carter Hart is good.
The goaltending is a aspect that has to be rectified, but the team has a great mix of youth , speed and younger veterans, if a goalie is found watch out , this is a well balanced team.
Watch for Stu Skinner to have a big year. Its a fact that many players, in particular goalies, to have off years when a baby is born but bounce back the next season. I bet thats what happens, I hope the oil dont give up on him and lose another great goalie
