Charlie had kind of a down year last season. If he returns to form, I think the Caps duo is as good as any in the league.
Thompson should be the Caps #1 goalie. He's one of the best in the league
Definitely think this duo has what it takes to be amongst the best tandems. They both have a high level of compete and fight for every puck it is reassuring having them two in the crease.
I feel good with the duo, I got no issue with Lindy; I never was sold on Samsonov, I was more in Vanecek's camp. also the D has to stop leaving them out to dry. look at the number of breakaway chances they gave up last season; that may also be due to Carbs system of getting the D up in the play, though. that leaves the D vulnerable if the forwards don't maintain puck possession in the O zone
