As a Sabres fan IMO: the only player worth a trade for Byrum is Weegar. And i know thats picking their best player, thats why i'd throw in a Benson, Krebs, Quinn or a pick. Flames would get rebuilding youth, which they need. The Sabres are a few good pieces away from being competitive. We've got two of the best shooters in the league in Tage and Tuch. Top 5 defender in Dahlin. The Sabres need to act now for a run this or next year, the Flames lets be honest are heading to rebuild they were 29th in total goals in 24/25. Conversely Sabres had 29th ranked Defense in 24/25. But i would totally understand if Flames dont want to give up Weegar, i just dont think the Flames have anything else that Buf would be interested in that would give them a serious shot at a run here in the near term. Maybe picks we can shoot for the '25 Year Rebuild haha 😆

Bo B thinks hes Makar and should be paid as such. Hes a solid top 4 not a #1, his contract should be 6-7M NOT 9M, the fact he coach & GM want him gone tells me all I need to know. If both players agree to a sign and trade Andersson for Byram straight up makes a lot of sense for both teams. Sabres need top 4 RD desperately, and want to push into playoffs. Flames could use a young talented top 4 LD for the teams future. It makes a lot of sense for both teams. The only problem with this idea is I don't think Andersson will want to extend in Buffalo.
