Is it realistic to expect Habs to take another leap?

Coming off a great year where they overachieved and made the playoffs, can the Canadiens take another step forward in the 2025-26 season? What are the realistic expectations for 19-year-old Ivan Demidov? What are the next steps in Lane Hutson’s evolution? TSN Hockey analyst Frankie Corrado joins Jermain Franklin to share his thoughts.

  1. they are depper and more balanced. They should be more consistent, less streaky. Still a bubble team for another year or so

  2. Habs media is much more unreasonable than Habs fans. Most of us get that this is a process. We aren't the ones who want to gin up engagement lol

  3. Habs get these crazy franchise takeover moments every decade or to๐Ÿ˜‚and shock the world ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

  4. Compare to last year …you had in a complete year, Kirby Dach – Ivan Demidov – Zakary Bolduc – Florian Xhekaj – Noah DOBSON – Samuel Blais

  5. They played against the caps the team that has the best record. all first tree games went to OT them habs will be tough to play in years to come

  6. I don't see them making the playoffs. Columbus, Detroit, Ottawa will get at least one WC and then other will go to the Metro.

  7. Anderson should get a bigger role in pk .
Can Dobson play that as well?
Who knows maybe Suzuki or Demidov can step in .
Demi is more physical than some people think he is.
And he has even more skill in puck possession than Armia.
It's gonna be fun to watch though ๐Ÿ˜Š

  8. 3:48 Someone tell this guy it is HUT-son…NOT Hudson. He is going to be around the league for a while, so learn his name….5:06 Who cares how many points they get as long as they get in the playoffs? The measure of success will be how many playoff rounds they get through.

  9. Management still sees the team ready to compete in 2 years, but it will be fun to watch as this takes shape. Yes, another leap or two…..

  10. I think Nick Suzuki is the next Bergeron/Barkov, so I think itโ€™s absolutely possible.

  11. Last year, the Habs were the youngest team in history to make the playoffs; as of now with Armia, Dvorakand Savard gone, the team will start the season even with a younger roster. If they make the playoffs again at the end of the year, it would be fantastic. I expect the team to be contenders in about 2 years ; we have a strong young core.
