Bolduc – Dimidov – Dach until Hage join the team.
I disagree regarding Bolduc. He is made for the wring. It would be a waste to put him at center. Fast, agreesive, good forward checking, physical presence, excellent release….that screams wing. I'd rather see Dach or Newhook at center rather than Bolduc. As for Demidov, if the habs try him at that spot, its because they see a long term potential at center. I'd prefer him getting a few looks at center now and then to see how he looks rather than just giving him that spot and maybe losing it.
There are rumors that Demidov's faceoffs are atrocious tho. I heard he doesn't even want to train to improve them.

Matheson + Mesar for Danault
I always liked Daneault and wish he had been given the contract he wanted back then but at the same time I do not see him as a viable option or what we need to help Demidov/Bolduc develop at this point. I don't see either of them (Demidov/Bolduc) being used at center. We have many young guys that can be tried until we get closer to the trade deadline and see where we are playoff wise. Keep the faith and Go Habs Go!
are you serious . Danault? an expensive 32 year old offensively challenged center who has openly expressed that he doesn't want to play in Mtl.
goalies mean so much for montreal making the playoffs and winning in them. don't get into that habit of overlooking that position. Monty looked pretty good in the playoffs and at other times; obviously not what Price was. Dobes had problems with rebounds and mistakes when playing the puck outside of the crease .

I do recall hearing Danault might have partially left due to Bergevin being GM. It was known that Bergevin is immature and foolish as a GM.
The Blues are in the market for a centre . No one knows Bolduc better than them . If he were a candidate for that position l they would never have traded him , especially considering his age and his popularity . As for Demidov let's not pull a Drouin and shake his confidence . Let Demidov be Demidov .
Important to note that the HABS will not make a rush move and sacrifice the future in order to acquire a 2C right away according to Mr. Gorton.
HABS back up plan in case acquiring a 2C doesn't pan out for this upcoming season seems to be to upgrade multiple forwards' skills in the faceoff circle.
Not sure if this will be sufficient or not.
Hopefully Dach will work out. This season is do or die for him.

Da-Non and Demidov is not a Centre. Either Dach or Bolduc and be patient and wait for next free agency ( or maybe the Trade Deadline if we're looking primed for a good run ). Remember guys, we drafted Hage, let's not rush this and make a mistake. No bandaid plugs or forcing the position on young guys ( Drouin still hurts ).
Dudes if he comes over as a good gesture I am ok with that but they still need a young 2c to grow and develop with the team, especially for Demidov and Bolduc

Demidov to center isn't like Drouin. Demidov has voiced interest to play center. Drouin was asked. Can't close the door on Dach. He's had some serious injuries that definitely affected his play. Danault isn't a 2C and we have Evans. I think Danault would come back. I think his beef was with Bergevin, but he's not a good fit. Give Mason McTavish an offer sheet.
Danault as a 3C im 100% in. If we get a Demidov Suzuki Danault Evans center line that's a cup winning lineup.

Enough with the special projects at 2C. Drouin, Dach and Newhook are recent fails.. The players even become less productive after these experiments, too. I would rather tough it out with Kapanen or Beck.

You can definitely try Demidov at center here and there, but it’s asking a lot for a 19 year old, face off’s is one thing but it’s the defensive coverage in our zone that’s the big task a good center has to be able to help the D down low.

Wouldn’t be willing to play Danault higher than the third line . However , I think he would make a fantastic duo with Evans on the first pk unit .
Wouldn’t be willing to give up top prospects for him though . If LA wants Laine for him I would pull the trigger if I was Hughes .

Josh go watch the video that the habs release after they pic Damidov. When all the scouts are in the room to make there final list talking about Damidov they all say ‘’ we see a guy that can by a #1 center for the Montreal Canadian ‘’

We made the playoff's without a 2C & we are better than last year so [WHY] all the rush here to get a 2C or a [MAYBE] when we have good prospects waiting in the wings? we only need to fill this hole for a year or at the most 2 years & we are set & set with a good experienced team at that point. We need not rush but you folks are in [RUSH MOOD] & it makes me wonder if you are a Habs fan or you just want to make money of the Hab's no matter what else?
Dache till Mid season if Dache is a no go a trade is an option.
